“The dark brown Volvo lurked in a corner spot.” "That’s definitely me. I love the word 'lurk.' I know a car shouldn’t be lurking. I do understand that. But it is kind of the way I write."

OK, the "lurk" sentence is bad--though funny, which is worth something to me. Also, I'm not a fan of Jackie Collins books, or even the genre.
But I rather like her and suspect that, as an old "old" friend used to say, she's a "grand old broad" who'd be fun to meet. A character, even.
And isn't she refreshingly honest about her own talent and niche, etc.? The sense of self and limits is rather attractive and endearing, I think.
Yeah, I loved that.
(And I'm glad someone finally commented on this post.)
According to Wikipedia, you’ll be 70 in October. No, I’m not going to be. I’m a little younger than that — 60-something suits me.
You mean wikipedia might be wrong?
I've always liked Ms. Collins outlook on life, even though I've never read one of her books (I've always assumed that each book was much like the previous). That outlook comes through loud and clear in the interview.
