Quote the first:
What the bloody hell was that?
It was me... Was that not good enough?
No.
Not even close.
'kay...
It was almost... non-human...
Second quote (from Simon):
You look a little odd, your dancing is terrible, the singing was horrendous, you look like one of those creatures that live in the jungle with those massive eyes. What are they called? Bush babies.
Third, from a guy they required to swear he wasn't kidding:
I swear on my mother's life that this is real... and you are beautiful.
Fourth:
What was that?

That guy seemed like a future serial killer.
Did the local mental hospital have a day trip to the Idol auditions?
The brother from the brother-sister team seems to have the most raw talent so far, IMO.
Hello. There was another episode tonight??
I need to be told this! I am a n00b. :(
Cheers,
Victoria
I like how when Simon flipped the bird, they bleeped it with the Union Jack.

Simon FLIPPED THE BIRD???
Man, I'm always missing the good stuff on TV.
First Nicole Richie chasing Paris Hilton around a farmyard with cowpoop-filled gloves -- now this.
Cheers,
Victoria
Loved the chick with the bug-eye glasses and blond fright wig. Love her mom, too.

Ah, it was after the last audition, and there were no contestants in the room, so it was more like flipping off the days auditions as a whole, not to a particular person.

Well, I'm sure America flipped back.
Cheers,

BTW, did anyone catch Simon kissing Paula, Jewel and amazingly, Randy on the nose, as he went out for a moment, in the first episode?
He never did that in Britain. And you know how fey men are there.

With Seacrest on the show, the fey end of the spectrum is covered, so what Simon did was aggressively masculine. Comparatively speaking.
I couldn't watch through either episode this week. I'm afraid that it isn't entertaining to me to see deluded people and their dreams crushed. Some are obviously just there to get on tv, but the others..... no, I just get uncomfortable with the tears and the pain. I'll wait for the Hollywood rounds. And, it will be interesting to see if they use Daughtry's "Home" as the kiss-off song a la "Bad Day" during the top 12 rounds....
Comparatively, yes, Ruth Anne.
And who amongst us can forget Ryan Seacrest with a semi for Anderson Cooper on CNN?
Sorry if anyone was eating breakfast whilst reading that.
Cheers,
Victoria
FWIW, the mom of Steven "Red" Thoen is very upset with both her son and the producers of "AI", since he's developmentally disabled, and she feels that they took advantage of him.

I really enjoyed last season, but the nastiness of this latest episode has me wondering if I'll bother to watch again this season. I'm highly disappointed in the decision the producers made in this case.
