Are those bloggers borrowing CNN computers, or are you required to plaster a big CNN sticker on the laptop top so that Dell, IBM, or other companies don't get free advertising by having their logos shown?
The computer nerd in me wants to know what kind of laptop is favored among the bloggers at the party.
So, listen - do these dim CNN anchors actually realize that when they're talking to each other about how the girl from Firedoglake "needs to be first because she's a liberal", do they realize they're on air?
I'm watching on the pipeline, and these reporteresses just fought over whether the liberal should go first, because it's about Lamont and Lieberman. Apparently, they want to run with the Lamont-Loses-Bloggers-Are-Lame meme. How many times can you use the word netroots and blogosphere without being a walking cliche?
Mortimer - it's making me feel like a voyeur, actually. I think that whoever is running this thing forgot about thge web stream, and so we don't get the talking heads when they're going live to TV, and we get the backchat when they think no one is listening. How delightfully amateur! Dare we say it - how bloggy!
I watched a few minutes of CNN and saw the bloggers event. They chose two of the most partisan bloggers to spin away on each side of the Lieberman race. Yawn. They might as well have just stuck with Howard Dean and Ken Mehlman. The "top bloggers" need to be de-throned, IMHO.
Oh, be fair. It was about who has the perfect reaction to the story. It's a bigger loss for liberal bloggers. And they tried the same meme on some other blogger and said he was in denial and "Boys Can Dream" [of a Lamont victory]. How patronizing.
The Santorum concession speech. Lame-o. I bet the liberal bloggers go first for this one, too, though.
Edward, It's still too early to talk about real results. The only race that you can really call is the KY 3d. The pundits on TV are looking at the exit polls and talking out of their asses; it's as if they learned nothing from '04. Even people who should know better are making that mistake - a blogger from human events was talking about the Chocola loss, even though less than 84% of precints have yet reported. Patience, young Jedi...With time, results will come.
Did they really need to stick Santorum's crying son in the lefthand side during the concession? A commercial like that and he'd still be Senator, maybe...
I'm watching the results of the VA race as Allen is trying to hold on by the skin of his teeth. It looks to me like the over 20,000 votes scored by the Green candidate, Parker, might end up losing it for Webb! :o
Ruth Anne - wonkette used to be ana marie cox, then became David Lat and this idiot alex pareen, and then david lat left. So now they have...uh...this idiot.
Bans on same sex marriage are cruising to success in Virginia (58-42, 91% reporting), Tennessee (81-19, 57% reporting), South Carolina (77-23, 78% reporting), and Wisconsin (61-39, 10% reporting).
How difficult would it be for someone to simply collect all the canisters of Parmesan cheese, round them up, and stash them behind the bar for the remainder of the evening?
Am I going to have to fly out there to remove the offending canisters myself?
I love that CNN, the creator of totally biased MSM, has bought into the idea that bloggers are so mainstream now, they will draw viewers in based on _________.
When does the segment with Hef air?

Who is the redhead? Who is the gal in the red sweater? Can you take some numbers for me?
You flew out there for this?
I hope you're at least getting drunk.
plenty of folks are blogging on the election. I think the better beat is blogging about the way the bloggers are responding.

MKH is sitting alone at a party? Dang, where was THIS kind of luck when I was in college...
I think the readers need an MKH / Althouse pic, Ann.. ;)

Alan - it's available as a stream from CNN's website
Exactly, Simon! Total airheads.

Whoa, the joint is hopping.
Wait till the real action begins!
So, like, who are the real heavyweights in this crowd? Who has the most gravitas of the bunch?
Wouldn't it be great of someone really big like Arianna, or Kos, just sweeps in ....
Imagine the stampede..
Peace, Maxine

Some more MKH for those who need it.
Great photos, loads more interesting than the CNN Pipeline feed has been, so far . . .
(I signed up for the 2 week trial just for this, and now I can't watch cause so far it's just plain bad)

Ok, let's get back to the question of..... what should 50-something ladies be doing to occupy their time?
What are all the 50-something ladies, out there, doing with themselves these days?
It seems to me, that if you are a 50-something lady, and you aren't going to be entertaining a variety of gentlemen callers...
....you aren't going to take up
Tennis--
.....you aren't one of those Ladies who lunch--
...you're not going on Safari--
...you don't do the Charity circuit--
So, then what does one do with one's self at age 50+ ???
Anyone?
Peace, Maxine

The important question, Maxine, is whether the 50+ is hot. If she is, what is her number? After all, she needs cardiovascular workout.
Well, I could do without the ubiquitous canister of Parmesan cheese in the foreground of every shot.
Funny, I didn't know one put Parmesan on vegetable quesadillas and homemade potato chips.
Must be a new multi-cultural thing.
Peace, Maxine
I would relish the networks taking a couple of beatings on these races called on exit polls.
Bans on same sex marriage are cruising to success in Virginia (58-42, 91% reporting), Tennessee (81-19, 57% reporting), South Carolina (77-23, 78% reporting), and Wisconsin (61-39, 10% reporting).
Ruth Anne - didn't even spot her! LOL. And the stream from theblog party has ended.
I mean really now---
How difficult would it be for someone to simply collect all the canisters of Parmesan cheese, round them up, and stash them behind the bar for the remainder of the evening?
Am I going to have to fly out there to remove the offending canisters myself?
I guess I'm just not hip enough.
I don't get the whole 'Parmesan' thing.
Peace, Maxine
Hmmm. Not one post on the election. Me thinks Ann is having too much fun to actually blog.
When do we get Ann Althouse posed prominently center-stage with jutting breassts?
Do they really jut? Can she pose with the redhead and the gal in the red sweater?
Ruth Anne - I stand corrected. Why, yes. Yes she does.
I love that CNN, the creator of totally biased MSM, has bought into the idea that bloggers are so mainstream now, they will draw viewers in based on _________.

Very amusing. Ann sure is looking fetching tonight.

Sarge - per Ann's photos, MKH is indeed in a red sweater. When she's 20 years older, she's going to be hot as hell.
Mortimer - easy, there, lad. I don't disapprove of the sentiment, but blet's all keep it clean and mercifully non-specific.
Sippican - I've loved that song since I was eight years old, and I think you just ruined it for me. Cheers. ;)
Meanwhile, on VH1 viewers voted some Bon Jovi song as the #1 hit of the '80s.
WHAT?????
Another vote for MKH here.
I actually find it bizarre that television cameras were set up so we could watch people type at their computers. Hellloooooo. . . .
Sippican, that was a treat.
