I've got precisely 10 TikToks for you to "labor" through today. Some people love them.

1. Everyone has 4 obsessions — here are 4 weird ones.

2. Analyzing the student-loan forgiveness program with Biblical references. (Freeze the frame at 0:42 so you can read the text. The first 2 are parables that you've probably already contemplated in this context.)

3. Is it really so bad if men these days don't live for adventure?

4. Broadway Barbara's Fosse Tutorial.

5. When the sports car pulls up to the red light and blocks the crosswalk, there's one way to win.

6. You approach a woman in the park... and she turns into a bird.

7. Inspired by found poetry.

8. Won't the dog just love the new puppy?

9. Deducing that today is the day he's going to propose.

10. Six degrees of corn.

The Men and Adventure one turned me off because death was mispelled (deth). Also: "I get sad when it's cold out?" WTH? Move somewhere warm then. Problem-solve, you idjit.
Really liked the guy walking through the car in the crosswalk, but I have to think that might get you killed or beat up if you choose the wrong car.
The dog with the new puppy, is #1 though.

I think it’s a kind of humor.

Made me think of Megadeth.

The proposal is my favorite. That is my kind of humor. Neurotic. I also like the bird lady and Kevin Bacon has really turned out to be charming as has Kyra Sedgewick. The Dog is up there too, but the proposal is an easy #1 for me.

"out asshole-ed" - huh. cool.

Men will always yearn for adventure. The fact that this guy had to make a video arguing against it just shows its truth. I liked the engagement one—women’s intuition or just plain spidey sense, it was a bit off and she knew why.

#8, # 9
Just so humanly interesting. Though one's about a dog - but still dogs have a way of letting their humans know.

Dog with puppy tops. how does one train 2 dogs like that to ignore one another?

Guy on car has to be staged, right? Guns and things.

#10. Is there a more beautiful thing?

That dog's reaction is hilarious.

Yeah I liked it to but hate people who refer to their pets like they're their kids. "Look at momma!" Nope. And I hate the term "fur baby." It right up there with "man cave."

A good line would be, that dog reminds me of my wife, but it does not apply to me.

Jelly Dog is the best
Sanctimony ( number 2 ) is the worst. Forgiveness when you have been wronged is good. Sanctimony to manipulate an answer via religion is not.

Fabs are Broadway Barbara - I love her.
and Kevin Bacon - I love corn and adorable little kids who are pro-corn. and all the people who come together to sing about adorable kids who are pro-corn.

CORN!

I dislike using biblical references to support public policy, since the Bible can support anything. (And if it's debt forgiveness, why not forgive the biggest debtor of all, the US government?)

Adventure stories appeal to us because there is a part of us that yearns for adventure. I believe men and women can benefit from modest adventures.

I'm glad the woman was right about the proposal. It sure would have been a big bummer if he didn't propose.

This will PROBABLY come as a SHOCK to some of you; but..
Jo Biden is NOT GOD, Jo Biden is NOT Jesus, Jo Biden is NOT giving away HIS money,
He is giving away MY money

Also: "I get sad when it's cold out?" WTH?

Really? Because when he said that, I was thinking, "same". (Although it's not actually the cold that makes me sad, it's the shorter days. Perhaps someplace equatorial would be better for me.)

I'm a Fosse fan, but I could not disagree with anything Barbara said.

I liked Kevin Bacon singing the Corn Song. Watching that go from its beginning has been interesting, thanks, Althouse. I probably never would have seen it if it hadn't been posted here.

Let's add John 8:11 to the list of Bible verses. Forgive, but don't repeat the sin. I haven't heard any plans on how to prevent people from taking on too much student loan debt in the future. I would be much more inclined to feel happy that people were freed from debt if I had any reason to think this isn't just the first of many forgiveness plans to come. If it's not corrected and it buys enough votes, it will get repeated.

Petulant dog was my favorite. I love when pets show their disapproval.

Proposal was great. Her logic was impeccable.

Jesus debt was irritating and ignorant and virtue-signaling to the nth degree.

As something of an adventurer myself, I guess, if climbing big mountains, riding fast motorcycles, and hunting and fly fishing alone in serious grizzly country counts as "adventure", I liked number 3, the only one I watched. I liked that guy, and he was very, very funny. It takes all kinds of men. Surely there's a reason for all of us.

I liked a lot of these. Corn or course was great. Proposal woman thought exactly how I would think if I were a woman and about to be proposed to. I'd say I quite enjoyed 9/10 of these.

But No-Adventure Man thoroughly cheesed me off. I'm so turned off by almost everything he said. To me, it basically translated to "Why have adventures when you can be pathetic instead. DUH, you idiot men." Adventures have to involve waging bloody war. With the right attitude, almost any even marginally new experience can be an adventure. You don't even have to travel; the people right in your neighborhood are doing new things and thinking new thoughts all the time. And I think it's very beneficial for people to experience new, exciting things and to challenge themselves. Or you can pet this fuckwad's fucking cat for the fuckthousandth time and cry in bed--obviously today is a waste because it dipped outside your preferred 5-degree range. Fuck, man.

Oh, and Broadway Barbara was great. I think this was her best one yet. I was a bit lukewarm on her at first, I think in her first couple she was straining for effect. But she's grown on me to the point where I think she's just great and has excellent delivery.

That's why it was a successful and hilarious video. I anticipated that reaction and it was why it crossed the line for me. Gives you something to react to. We might say he's trolling.

We might say he's trolling.
Or that might be his actual personality. Because, God Help Me, I know people like that.

There is a follow up video showing the bigger dog (Copper) playing lovingly with the puppy. Copper just had to take some time to process the new development.
