Donald Trump does the Easter Egg Roll.

This is the best part:

"I've seen those kids, and they're highly, highly competitive. That I can tell you."

Reading on my iPad. I clicked "best part" video not realizing my iPad was still connected to the speakers in my bedroom, which were turned way up. The noise awoke my friend next to me, and he looked very perplexed. I looked over said, "You know I think one of the biggest mistakes the drafters made was combining the head of state and head of government into a single person." He looked even more perplexed. "Never mind, not important."

p.s. Still in bed at 3:30 in the afternoon?! Ah, the millennial life.

A comical part of that Easter Egg Roll was during the National Anthem when he forgot to put his hand over his heart and Melania had to nudge him.

Melania nudges Trump

Has anyone seen Spicy and the Easter Bunny in the same room?

Owen said...

I thought Melania did a great job! And Barron, who like any normal kid could not keep still.

Another mishap from the Easter Egg Roll. Poor kid, I sure hope they got him another hat.

Boy screams after Trump signs his hat and then tosses it into the crowd.

Darrell said...

Far more dignified than they head rolls the Obamas used to host for Muslim kids.

Drago said...

So Navy Reserve Commander Sean Spicer once volunteered to play the Easter Bunny for kids and Trump flips a signed ballcap in the air back to a kid.

Well, we have certainly come a very long way indeed from those exciting days of fake dossiers and Trump won't make it to inauguration.

And to think that on top of these latest crimes against humanity Trump also prefers his steaks well done!

Can impeachment be far behind?

I like Barron's reaction in the second clip. The light bulb seems to go on.

The steaks could be a real issue. We take stakes seriously where I come from.

Like... you know the world is watching you, so you... take a kid's hat and throw it? That's like, 80s high school villain behavior.

There just isn't a serious opposition party in this country. One party rule is bad for everyone.

We are all going to suffer because most democrat voters are as stupid as this one.

Drago said...

The Left is currently hot on the trail of potential salad fork misuse. God help us if that kind of a "mishap" occurs.

Thank goodness we have an opposition party focused on what really matters.

He's having the same reaction as the audience. It takes a half second to recognize that Trump is being funny. He deadpans that the kids are highly competitive. The kids are like 4 or 5 years old, and they're pushing wooden eggs with a spoon. It's not a cutthroat competition. But Trump talks about them in the tone he uses to describe business partners. I thought that was hilarious.

Just like Hitler.

In military aviation, a "mishap" is defined as a significant accident, sometimes resulting in death.

For the Left, a "mishap" is a President signing and tossing a ballcap back to a kid.

You are free to draw conclusions pertaining to the intelligence and seriousness of the left.

Sebastian said...

"I thought that was hilarious." It was. He was being funny but he wasn't kidding, if you know what I mean. Speaking as a former highly, highly competitive egg hunter.

Anonymous said...

Well, it could be worse, I could've called it a fuck up instead of a mishap. Poor kid wanted his hat signed and given back to him, not tossed into the crowd.

Ron said...

The best part was the nudge from Melania for the national anthem.

"The Democrats should suffer. Stupidity should be painful."

You say that. But look at all of the places with one party rule. It sucks for everyone not just the idiots and enemies of freedom.

Drago said...

Inga The Hopeless: "Poor kid wanted his hat signed and given back to him, not tossed into the crowd."

Ah, fooled by the headline once again we're you?

Did you even bother to read the report?

In the report we are told the President signed the cap and tossed it into the air near the kid.

The headline of course was written to ensure the easily misled and moronic amongst drew the correct political message.

Needless to say, though I will anyway, Inga falls into the trap.

Once again.

As she always does.

Unexpectedly!

Matt Sablan said...

If he did toss it back to the kid, someone should get and interview the kid to put this stupidity to rest.

Certainly Kansas seems to be very unhappy at the moment.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't it have been better to hand the hat back to the kid to make sure he got it? Tossing it back into the crowd was rude and thoughtless, an assholish thing to do.

Drago said...

ARM: "Certainly Kansas seems to be very unhappy at the moment."

It's understandable that the left would choose to ignore the most perfect embodiment of leftist governance: Venezuela.

After all, why discuss the lack of food and starvation, energy and electrical shortages in a former exporter of oil, medicine non-existent, armed thugs shooting up the opposition including children, the militarization of food distribution, etc.

Come to think of it, to the left those ARE the positive aspects of leftist rule.

But yeah, Kansas is the real problem.

Pay no attention to the Venezuelan schools reducing class time because the underfed kids are passing out.

Hey, you gotta break a few eggs to make a leftist paradise omelette.

Drago said...

Inga: "Tossing it back into the crowd was rude and thoughtless, an assholish thing to do."

Perhaps you should draw up the charges for the International Criminal Court.

Drago said...

Just watched another video of this latest war crime. Trump tosses cap in a playful manner to kid and it's very close to the kid who gets his signed cap.

Chilling.

This is how Democracy Dies.

If the kid got his signed hat back, then all's well that ends well. Several people were yelling "No". Whatever, Trump could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and his followers would be making excuses for him.

Drago said...

Trump tossing a ballcap to a kid is murder. MURDER!

Quaestor said...

Certainly Kansas seems to be very unhappy at the moment.

Not nearly so unhappy as Chicago, under the thumb of the Democratic Party for 86 years.

Mary Beth said...

The kid got his hat back plus a story to tell about it that's one hundred times better than if it had just been handed to him.

Anonymous said...

Good, I'm glad he got his hat back. All is forgiven, Trump is the Easter Egg Roll hero after all!

Drago said...

Where is your humanity Mary Beth? WHERE IS YOUR HUMANITY?

Generations of Climate Change survivors will sit around non-carbon fires and whisper of the horrors of this latest Trumpian affront to decency.

The best outcome of this incident is the demonstrated level-headedness of Trump's critics who, once again, strike a moderate and reasoned tone in their "substantive" criticism.

Anonymous said...

Now let's hope he doesn't start a nuclear conflagration.

Drago said...

Inga beats a hasty retreat from her earlier ill-conceived position to project non-existent hero worship onto Trump supporters.

Unexpectedly.

It would have been easier to simply say yeah, perhaps the criticism was a bit over-blown.

Drago said...

Inga: "Now let's hope he doesn't start a nuclear conflagration"

Inga now decides she will side with communist Kim Jong Un over the US as a means to change the subject.

Unexpectedly.

Indeed. Why it's almost as comical as that time during the National Anthem when Obama stood there next to Hillary Clinton and Bill Richardson with his hands clasped at his waist in a sullen act of defiance towards a country he hated.

Good times.

It would be difficult to find a headline more emblematic of the times in which we live than this headline, Homeless woman, 23, with crystal meth hidden in her bra is arrested 'for luring two young boys to a Walmart with the promise of candy'.

Maybe it could be slightly improved if she had lived in Kansas. The aesthetics of decay in the age of Trump are still in a state of flux.

Which part do you consider "emblematic of the times?" Homeless? Crystal meth? Candy?

I'll admit I'm wrong when I'm wrong. Another angle of the hat trick shows Trump throws it right-ish to the kid, and you can hear the kid shout "Thank you."

This is what I get for, again, trusting the media.

Actually, Trump did throw the hat back to the same kid. The kid was standing a few rows back.

Ace and other sites have confirmed with videos from other angles. (He was a teenager by the way.)
