Speaking of great Christmas ads with a Trump tie-in....

There's this (an ad for a British department store)...

... which became this....

Tump is in for a rude awakening.

Come January 20, the race for 2020 begins:

Sen Gillibrand vs Sen Warren vs Sen Booker vs Rep Ellison vs Gov Cuomo

One of these will be the nominee for the Democratic Party and Trump is finished in 4-years.

Unless Trump starts to deliver 24/7.

If the Democrats do not start doing some serious soul-searching about what happened down-ticket,it is not gong to be Trumpism that is gone in 4 years.

Does anyone remember America's Politico? Never before has anyone had so much wrong about the election results.

DJT as our loyal Boxer Dog is a perfect fit. Now if he quits sniffing Romney and bites him we will all say, "good dog."

Cuomo?

Didn't the endictments just start coming down for his ppl?

Bwaaaaaaa

That list.

I personally don't think he'd run, but one never knows.

That remix was hilarious!

The silly expressions in this one are really well done. It works so well as a parody that I was interested to see the source material. Having a Christmas commercial centered on massive disappointment seems counterintuitive.

Funny how the "Dreaming's end" music works so well in both contexts.

AP should never be under-rated. His/her track record is awe-inspiring. So much confidence. So little understanding.

Oh, yeah.....that moron shows up every 4 years. Unfortunately, he/she was correct about the 2012 outcome.

Great ad, great knockoff.

Who do we trust? America's Politico, or Mick?

But if the Democrats want to go hard left, except Gillibrand was actually pretty reasonable as a Representative until given the conditions for that Senate seat. Flipped on 2A an Obamacare on a dime.

tim in vermont said...

All that is needed at the close of the second commercial is Obama declaring "As God is my witness, I believed that turkeys could fly!"

brilliant!

America's Politico may not himself know when he is joking from when he is serious.

Yet..just one of the candidates actually barks.

Keith Ellison of the Muslim Brotherhood and ties to Louie Farrakhan and the infamous number 19.

Lizzie Warren took a battle axe or do Indians just call native American imposters battle axes?

Kristen Gillabrand - yet another feminist Senator from New York who has done nothing for her constituents just like Hillary - yeah that works.

Andy Cuomo can be expected to bring on yet another housing bubble and further involvement of Freddie and Fannie (which greatly increased in his time as HUD Secretary under Clinton) in the everyday lives of Americans.

I never quite connected with the original version of that ad. Don't get it. Why is it bad or disappointing that the dog enjoys the trampoline? Isn't that kind of awesome? Maybe my ratio of liking dogs vs. liking kids is a little higher than most, but unless/until puppo shits all over it, the trampoline is fine.

Another puzzle about the first ad is why does the store selling the thing show the dad having a hard tome putting it together?

Hilarious video; both of them. The clever parody is the best.

We can only hope. Personally , I'm pulling for Ellison to be DNC chair and bring the CAIR people in big time.

You all can laugh as much as you want:

Next President or VP will be a woman - Sen Gillibrand or Sen Warren.

Trump's party has no woman of accomplishments. They are DOA - Dead on Arrival in the White House.

The Democratic take over of WH, Senate, and House begins on Jan. 20. You heard it here first.

Boxing Day is England's gift giving day. So a boxer is the branded dog... but the ad has to Show sensitivity to
Dog hating muslims. It is politically correct attitudes gone wild.

AP should be considering the consequences if Sarah Palin is the Interior Secretary. It might happen.

Democrats road to success:
1. Keep doing exactly the sam stuff that lost us the WH and control of Congress and most State houses.
2. ? ? ?
3. Total Victory !

I have watched that commercial multiple times since a family member posted it a few weeks ago. It never fails to disappoint.

Puzzled me a bit as well. I think the ad intended to show consternation for the kid (is this for me or Buster?) and surprise for the parents, and it fell short of the mark. Just my guess.

"Another puzzle about the first ad is why does the store selling the thing show the dad having a hard tome putting it together?"

I didn't think he was having a hard time beyond that assembling a trampoline is just work. And the family is clearly a working class family. Effective, I thought. It made it worth the irony that the dog bounded into it first.

I'm hoping the Californians will secede. Seems like kind of a win-win-win. We get rid of them, they get rid of us, and Mexico gets some good roads. Plus, no more of them moving here to Oregon. Although they've pretty much ruined the place already. Maybe they could take Portland with them. Is that too much to hope for?

How many times did America's Politico declare that Hillary would be our next president -- 50, 100? Keep those predictions coming and don't quit your day job!

You've got quite the bench there, AP. Too bad none of them were available in 2016, when your Party selected Metastasizing Cancer of the Upper Colon as its Presidential candidate.

Good luck defending those 23 Democrat Senate seats in 2018, America's Politico -- you're going to need it! Lulz
