Is it so surprising that doctors are liars? This and "health of the mother" are the 2 biggest doctor lies in America. 3rd is medical disability.

Just left an appointment at the local hospital and the lobby to the garage smelled like a college party in the 70s. Prohibition has collapsed.

I suppose its all a funny joke. Right?

Chip chip chip...respect for the law.
Chip chip chip...respect for institutions.
Chip chip chip...respect for professionals.
Chip chip chip...respect for fellow citizens.
What could go wrong?

Now it's only fair to say that one reason to not pass and maintain stupid unpopular laws is precisely that it will encourage lawbreaking and disrespect for the laws. So let's not pretend that some of this isn't on the lawmakers themselves, and then ultimately the voters, too.

It's not fair to hardcore honest people, and it erodes the good tendencies of softcore honest people.

The Dorothy Parker joke about how stupid modern times were, and how self-deceitful modern people were, ended with, "And I am the Queen of Romania!"
Nowadays it could end with, "And I have a medical need for pot!"
Or, perhaps, "I am a 6'5" Asian woman."

It doesn't matter which gets used, the stoners won't understand anyway.

Sorry Cleavon, had to do it...

Having gone to high school in the 80's when lying to children about facts about drugs was common and recommended practice, I would say that the school authorities and cops that came in to present Just Say No to us made a joke of honesty on this subject.

Blaming it on users seems to ignore the decades of reefer madness exaggerations from authority figures who made lying about drugs just how the game is played.

Those are not the destructive Californians. The destructive ones are the ones they vote for and who have respectable jobs in the legislatures and city councils and governor's mansion.

Isn't it all about my right to do with my body what I want? My body, my choice.

Ann, you support a woman's right to abortion on that ground.

Yet you seem to support the govt's right to restrict my use of MJ. You are kind of wishy-washy about it but still...

Care to explain the logic?

Although I don't oppose legalization of marijuana for personal use, I don't think for a second that it is good for you.

It's all relative. I'd say any street drug right now is probably safer than the drinking water in Flint and Houston's pipes.

Medical marijuana is a joke. There's no medical benefit from smoking a joint. If states want to make marijuana legal, they should legalize the recreational use and skip this charade of "medical marijuana."

BTW Mark: Not just the 80's.

I was in HS in the early to mid-60's and heard lots of BS about it. Then I went in the Navy and heard even more.

Did you know that someone once gave LSD to an elephant and the elephant died? I'll bet I heard that story once a month the whole time I was in the Navy.

OK, OK, I get the point. If I am ever charged with taking care of an elephant, I will be careful not to give it any LSD.

And another thing: Them hippies were horrible in the 60s for getting wasted on Black Beauties/Biphamine/Speed. Just terrible people.

Now we say kids have a made up disorder, ADD, and space them out on Black Beauties/Biphetamine/Speed. Only we call it Adderall.

Fuck the phony war on drugs.

My body, my choice.

To illustrate what a farce the whole medical marijuana scheme is, here are some activists opposing an effective pill form:

Many medical marijuana activists fear Epidiolex approval will mark the beginning of Big Pharma’s takeover of the marijuana plant, undercutting patients’ ability to treat themselves as they see fit.

“We are not concerned with the pill [actually oil] form of a natural plant,” said Wendy Johnson, who represents the Cannabis Safety Association in Ohio, where medical marijuana legislation was introduced last week. “In fact, it is looked upon very unfavorably and as a stumbling block on our way to whole plant.”

Best New Word(s) of the Year: Soft core honest people.

It's those hard core honest people who make us look bad. Fortunately, there are only a few of them in captivity.

I know it's a lie. You know it's a lie. They know it's a lie. And the lefties who got elected and made this law know it's a lie.

But we like the lie. The lie makes us feel good. We accept the lie.

Soon, we will be required to love the lie. And other lies.
Or else.

Not so long as people are in jail for this crap, no.

I want Kentucky to go full Colorado. We have a terrific subtropical humid climate perfect for growing the stuff. We would no longer be a poor state. It could save our seriously underfunded pension plans for state employees and teachers. It would be a safe alternative to all the prescription pill and heroin and meth abuse that is far more dangerous for people. I would rather have a happy relaxed stoner around than a pillhead, junkie, or meth-head.

Nobody likes the lie, Dan. It's just a step towards getting this bit of tyranny ended. Prohibition failed, it destroyed lives, it undermined our rights. It is, was, and will be bad for America. Time to end this very bad joke.

Sorry. High humidity is bad. You get powdery mildew if it gets much over 50% humidity. You also get bud-rot in the larger buds in high humidity areas. The center of the bud grows brown mold and eventually turns into a goopy mess.

You want low humidity at all times except cloning.

That would be iron-clad logic if so many drug users didn't basically ruin their chances to be productive citizens and then come to the rest of us for support, medical and financial, after fucking up their lives. If you are going to make the case to me that I need to support you by working extra hard and forking over a sizable hunk of my pay check, you can expect some moralizing to the effect of avoiding becoming dependent on others. Of course *you* might not make that case, and if all drug users were just like you, it probably wouldn't have become illegal in the first place.
