"We could tell you that the interactive video consists of 16 separate videos starring familiar actors and TV personalities lip-synching the lyrics to Dylan's 1965 karaoke classic 'Like A Rolling Stone'..."

"... and that viewers can use their keyboards to flip between these videos seamlessly throughout the duration of the song, so that the opening lines are performed by the guys from Pawn Stars and the song wraps up in the middle of a History Channel special about the Great Depression."

Or wherever you direct it... with no direction home.

But why not just watch it?

Like a complete unknown celebrity.

Speaking of celebrities, who thinks it's unfair that George Zimmerman has to surrender his guns in order to get out of jail today?

... or not watch it, because who cares about Dylan, again?

I don't need a preview of Hell. I'll be there soon enough.

I didn't see any karaoke. It's all lip-synching, which is much easier and kinda gutless.

I need straight forward and uncomplicated directions. Figuring stuff out doesn't make things better.

Now that Zimmerman is unarmed I guess all those negro boys, high on perpul skank, will start beating on him with a sidewalk. Poor George. He must be the unluckiest man in the world.

I don't think there was karaoke in 1965.

Just sayin'.

It's been a slow day. None of Zimmerman's legion of defenders from a few months ago seem that eager to defend him now that he's beating up on a white woman.

I have no problem defending Zimmerman's use of of gun in self defense against that hood rat Martin

As always, where is the evidence that Martin was a ' hood rat'? Your appeal to vitriol is not an argument.

On the other hand it is clear that Zimmerman has had serious anger issues for a decade and is more than willing to use guns to assert his will, against both women and children.

It's good but not that good.

I dig this live 1976 take on Idiot Wind.

Lots of passion and enunciation from Bedouin Bob.

The ultimate divorce ditty: "We're idiots, babe. It's a wonder we can even feed ourselves."

I thought this was amazing, until I saw the one with the security video of the guy being stabbed by a mugger on a subway platform - and they made him lip synch the song. The Interscope executive who let that channel pass probably thought it was clever and cute. Did you? Using somebody's personal misfortune for entertainment and profit? The guy must have died, otherwise they would have tried to get him to sign a release.

Interscope should explore www.theync.com for videos of Arab political prisoners making their final statements to the camera. They won't need releases from these people either, because in the end they always get shot in the head. That would peg the Interscope clever and cute meter, for sure!

The concept is great, you can re-contextualize the song by viewing different channels. It's a smart move from a marketing perspective as well, there's a channel for every target group. I gave it a couple of tries but the video kept stopping, especially when I switched channels.

It's a shame that some commentators try to hijack threads to make a point not related to the post. And its pointless to say that Dylan is a waste of time by wasting you your time commenting about it here.
