Great music!!

The music is something that was in iMovie. Meade can't remember off-hand what it was called.

Perhaps he'll provide a title later.

But it turns out that iMovie (and YouTube) have a lot of music that's licensed to be added to movies.

I enjoy the dog videos.

Is Meade in preparation for the 2014 Canine International Film Festival?

Big headline on Drudge says "GALLUP: UNINSURED REJECT OBAMACARE".

Links to this article claiming, based on a Gallup poll, that "only 22% of uninsured Americans intend to buy insurance through the ObamaCare exchanges". Article has 1400+ comments.

But click through to the Gallup poll, Althouse! The poll actually says no such thing! It's being completely misrepresented. The poll only said that among the uninsured who plan to get insurance, 22% have already visited an exchange website. The poll certainly does not say that only 22% of the uninsured plan on getting ObamaCare insurance.

The folks at Breitbart seem to have skimmed the poll and failed to understand what they were writing about.

I'm all for pointing out the flaws in ObamaCare, but misrepresenting the facts, especially in a Drudgelinked headline article, is counter-productive.

There is a story that 80% of the presently uninsured have no interest in getting medical insurance.
I also see stories that the IRS will not really have any enforcement handle on the uninsured but to take the tax/penalty out of their tax refunds if they have any.

I think it reasonable to assume that most of the uninsured do not pay federal income tax and so does not get refunds. Many probably are denizens of "Watters' World" and blissfully unaware there even is such a thing as the AHCA. Remaining uninsured is not going to bother these people one whit.

Those who do pay taxes and have a refund coming, or so they think, and are counting on it, on the other hand, are going to be pissed when they find it either got shorted or disappeared completely.
So, who will they vote for next time?

And what was the purpose of this exercise supposed to be again?

Hagar, you are overlooking the fact that there is a refund called the earned income credit. A lot of hard up people get this and if the IRS seizes this - and the IRS will seize it - well, you ain't seen nothing yet.

I have never understood the EIC, and tended to forget to include it on my returns when I had some income and a refund coming, but the IRS would add it in for me, so I got an increased refund. The last couple of years I have had no taxes due, the construction business being what it is, but the IRS has not sent me a subsidy check, if that is what it is supposed to be.
Is not the EIC sort of on and off too? Some years Congress enacts it, and some years they don't?

There is this guy in my office who brushes his teeth in
the bathroom while others are pinching loafs. He is in there forever brushing while major farts are spouting out of asses. It's weird.

The entire wing of my office is Human Services economists but one of them needs to flush twice. How difficult is it to not look at the bowl after the first flush and realize there is still major streaks on the bowl?

Today at work I learned the difference between quantitative and qualitative and who coined the term "Average Joe".

I read on Huffington today that flushing the toilet pumps fecal matter in the air that can fly up to six feet. Leave your toothbruth uncovered in the john, and it's covered in shit particles.

The Breitbart piece has been corrected... at the bottom:

This post has been updated to clarify the poll numbers.

"Leave your toothbruth uncovered in the john, and it's covered in shit particles."

I think the technical term is "shit spores." I learned that in a discussion of bathroom hand dryers. I'm sure the numbers are quite low when compared to a dog lick or shaking hands with someone who wasn't raised properly.

It appears that the traffic they have been getting on the infamous websites so far has been largely the insured people who have had their policies dropped and there has been very little interest from the uninsured.

So, what was the purpose of this thing again?

I've been meaning to share this record with you all for a while now. It's really one of the loveliest things I have ever heard.

I had to attend a dinner tonight with Harvard Kennedy School future grads at "Henrietta's Table".

It was insufferable.

They all want to work in Africa or South America dolling out microloans and cash exchanges.

I was like bitch....I hate you and your passion for public policy. They were all licking my twat because I have job openings. A few of them I thought about saying I will get you an interview if you blow me but I am professional and will not do that. There was one from Islamabad (who was abs gorgeous) that I have to admit enthralled me...he seemed so eager and foreign and terrorist and friendly....but again I am professional....and left.

The end result of this night is I am horny and now going to wank to muzzie gay sex videos-which are generally muzzies in Paris which doesn't make it that appealing to me. I want the real terrorist living in Afghanistan or the conversatives in Saudi Arabia....that would mean bonus spurts! Those videos are hard to find and don't think you are going to fool me by putting a burka on a Brazillian!

harrogate, Thanks for the introduction to Anais Mitchell and 'Hadestown'; listened from Why we build these walls to Nothing changes and was impressed. Happy to see that AM has five albums on Spotify.

The hipsters/no hipsters at Nohipster in all their colorfulness are less interesting to me but entertaining, none the less.

Out of town for the weekend working. took a side trip over to Cumberand Falls, site of the western hemisphere's only recurring "moonbow" ( a rainbow on nights of a bright full moon). The moon also has to be in the right position in the sky, so these things are fairly predictable.

I saw a rainbow, but then it was late afternoon. Got wet too. Always nice to get wet. (except when you fall in the lake in early May, or go scuba diving in Ky. in Feb.)

Scuba diving in Ky in Feb. all you get to see is frozen frog ass...not hardly worth it.
