Looks shocking, to say the least.

I'm swallowing my Illini pride and rooting for fellow Big Ten team, Michigan.

This McGary kid is great!

Four Wolverines listed in the NBA mock draft as 1st round picks. Couple of famous NBA names in Hardaway and Robinson.

Hate that 2-3 zone of Syracuse. It's effective, but it makes the game ugly.

Shocking, but tough luck for the Shockers.

At least Kevin is happy.

Now... Wolverine time!

Simultaneously watching Cubs/Braves.

Cubs up 5-4 going into bottom of the 9th.

Will Carlos Marmol implode again? Can he find the plate?

I'm at the U of M Milwaukee Club get-together at G'Daddy's BBC on North Avenue. Come on down...

GO BLUE

Nope.

Was rooting for Wichita but now I don't care. Michigan, Syracuse, Louisville. Meh.

Not usually a Michigan fan, but for a fellow Big Ten team - Go Blue! It does make it a little easier, being we beat them twice, though.

AlanS, I'm signing off for the night but just wanted to say how much I like your posts.

Carry on.

One of the Shockers name was Cleananthony.

WTF with the names blacks?

I want Michigan to win but I want to be last second.

And the school from New Jersey (Rutgers) is going to be playing in the Big 10-that is just wrong.

tits.

Wolverine? With that lightning bolt I'd imagine Storm would be a better analogy.

Oh wait, are we not talking about the X-Men?

Never Mind.

So... I'm watching Hulu and it keeps asking me at the start of a show... "What ad experience would you like?" And then I have a choice between something and Stayfree. It's not that I'm unlikely to need feminine products but I have to wonder who picks ads about feminine products?

I figure, possibly, they're playing mind games in that you view ads you asked to view and that probably changes the dynamic of human behavior but... I think they missed something with this plan.

My whole life I thought the words were "knights in white satin" and that's how I saw it and did it in asl. And it's great as a metal soldier but just ordinary as a lover, but it does make more sense now, perfect prosaic sense, y mucho menos visualmente dramática, and now I'm bummed out.

Synova said...

Chip, that makes me think of "the roof is on fire" and it's really great with the cuss word yee-haa'd out, but with the cuss word in it's just... boring.

In other energy news, coal related employment is down sharply in my county, and a county in western KY is now the leading producer in our state. Production is down.

Congratulations, Mister Obama.

We're energy experts though, so we're getting on board with the unicorn farts energy technology.

Oh and go Louisville! It hurts to say that because I'm a Kentucky fan. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

If you thought the 'cuse made basketball ugly wait till you get through watching louisville. Or the 'ville as they like to call themselves. you will never see a fan base sqwuak more about deserving recognition as an elite school than louisville.

Their fans come to OUR websites, and screech endlessly about how they have won 2 count 'em 2 championships... All in the last century...in a 10 year time span...

That's it. That's their case for being considered elite.(they even take UK's sloppy seconds on coaches)

Anyway, while watching the soon to be nationally televised hackfest that is a UL basketball game(Pitino has famously stated that his teams committ so many fouls because the ref's won't call them all), just picture them aqs we do...as OTIS. the Other Team In State. These bozos actually wear buckets from KFC on their heads in their arena.(you have to see it to believe it).

The only consolation I can offer in the up coming matchup is that UK will be more loaded than they were last year, and so UL won't get to the final 4 if we are matched up.

(UK has signed 6 MCD's AA, something never done by any school before. they have the #1 PG, #1 SG, #1 PF, #1 C, in the country signed, and coach is still working to get Wiggens, a player of Lebron James caliber to sign...#1 SF) The rest of the team already signed are also in the top 20 except for a forward we signed early, he's on 49th in the country.

Ohh! Our new center just won the high school NIT, and vowed he was going to win one at UK next year.

That goes with maybe Nerlens Noel returning (a maybe he may still be drafted #1 after his injury), who was actually starting to be better at center than Ant Davis was the year before. Also returning is our 7 ft. center back up who played so well after Noel got injured HE might get drafted top 10! The only player not graduating but still leaving the program is our shooting guard, who while fearless, was at best, fearless, in taking the ball into 1 on 3 situations and getting it shoved back down his throat. his heart, but not his acumen will be missed.

Carnifex said...

LIZ Liz Liz.... your being a transplant is showing. No Kentucky fan can ever root for the dirty birds. EVER. It's just not done.

Those who claim to root for both teams are mere dilatantes.(damn spelling?)

I think they missed something with this plan.

I say they probably are ;)

Carnifex said...

In the parlance of true UK fandom the coach of UL is known as either Ricky Threestacks, Febuk (formerly employed by UK), or Satan. UL itself is the city college, little brother, or hell. And the mascot is the dirty birds, UKPT(UK's play toy), or the 'tards. Dress code to be a 'tard fan is line beard, goth-script L tattoo on your chest, and a flat bill ball cap either turned to the side, or completely around.

Things heard around UL campus include..."I saw this in a cartoon once", and "I can't wait to graduate from the fry machine to the window."

I did not make anything in this list up.

Carnifex said...

Is there any truth to the rumor that IU fired Tom Crean and tried to hire Rutgers old coach?(ahh the good ol' days. When you could abuse players in the safety and quiet of your gym, and not have to worry about some panty ass reporter telling your fans about it.)

I don't know if I mentioned this before but just stop me if I have...

I'm doing a playlist of Rolling Stones Magazine 500 "greatest" Songs of All Time to put on cds for a former hippy (are all hippies former?) friend's birthday coming up... he is always talking about the music from that era...

So I'm going along...dragging and dropping, taking my time, reading the snippets. I already had most of the early stuff (unchecked, I can only fit so much on an iPod) that apparently made a huge impression on the music that came later... and even to this day...

And then in the 480's I come across American Idol Kelly Clarkson and Justin Timberlake.

WTF?

And in just one take, I'm an elitist, misogynist, youth hater, ungrateful foreigner. I probably left out stuff that I don't know about because I haven't been to any "consciousness raising" whatever.

Anyways... I listened to the songs and I think that because they are on the list... automatically the songs have a certain thing that were they not on the list I don't think I would have heard... I'm opinionated too.

So, does that mean there are people in the world that "know" more and appreciate music more than I do?... yea... and what a good thing that is... that I'm an elitist.

Somebody above mentioned graduate in talking about a UK basketball player. Name the last two players that actually graduated from UK?

Would love to have seen Syracuse win it all, alas not to be. I hope Michigan can beat Louisville but I fear they will not.

All you idiots can talk about is the stupid same--- Its just another distraction.

Obama is a Usurper, non natural born Citizen, installed I by the NWO Central bankers, to effect the dissolution of the US Constitution , and US Citizens' sovereignty. When there is no legal President, whom is the executor of the laws, then there is no law, no Constitution, and no "United States"

Obama was born British of a British subject father ("an improper ascendant" (improper ancestor)--- see Federalist 68)), and is likely still British today, and is the front-man of the Rothchilds.
Obama 2 would not be eligible if born on the Oval Office desk---- because he was born of a foreign father--- and he said so---"Dreams FROM My Father".

American law (SCOTUS Precedent):
"The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners." 88 US 162, 167, Minor v, Happersett (1874)

Natural born Citizens are born to US Citizen parents (2) on US soil, so that no foreign influence or allegiance is installed at birth. The founders were wise, and we were stupid.

See Deuteronomy 17:15--- it is against the law of nature to place one who is a foreigner, and not your brother, over you as a leader.

And the "law prof" fiddled in her place in the Ivory Tower of Liberal academia.... A useful idiot.

Didn't watch last night, although I was mildly rooting for Wichita State the underdog.

Keep waiting for Penn State to field a basketball team. Probably will go to my grave waiting.

Allen S, I enjoy your posts also. Speaking frankly is a virtue.
