I wouldn't be surprised to see penis control legislation following on the heels of gun control legislation.

Everybody wants to be a victim. It gives you moral superiority.

I was asked to appear in one of those gender identity video documentaries not too long ago, and I agreed out of deference to one of my oldest friends.

There, I encountered a elderly Jewess who was prominent in the early days of the feminist movement in NYC in the 70s and 80s.

She remarked with some wonder about how few women really were involved, usually just a handful, and how determined the media was to portray the movement as huge and middle class.

Same problem here. Men who will join political organizations are an elite few, and don't represent the interests of many men.

Big difference in perception. Men don't elicit our sympathy. Women do. Everybody gets teary eyed and chivalrous over women.

The men who are really powerless and depicted as so much shit in the media are working class guys who don't join groups. In the U.S., they just write country songs. What they do in India, I don't know. I imagine they're struggling just to feed themselves and their families, and to avoid having the shit kicked out of themselves in the streets.

Doing my best to keep the Fitzgerald flame burning...

Not a big fan of Heartiste. The site is often quite funny.

But as a FB friend (female) recent noted... the feminists and the men's rights guys deserve each other.

The angry women and men find each other and beat the hell out of one another. They get what they deserve.

Heartiste does have a good post up about what men should expect if they start whining about how society treats them... They'll be ridiculed and have their asses kicked.

At the risk of repeating myself, I'll repeat myself... Rape hysteria is the lowest scumbag form of political propaganda. Anybody who uses that tactic is an evil bastard.

Indian men are better off countering the feminazis now.

If the Indians had said, "There goes the neighborhood", earlier, New York would still be Gitchee Goomie.

@pm317

I am often asked to belong to a wide variety of political groups because of my writing and multimedia developer skills.

I don't belong to any groups.

"...his ex-wife sued him for child support, he said, even though they had no children. It took him a year and a half to clear his name and get the child support demand dropped, he said."?

I swear the legal mechanism is the most unjust system man has ever developed. Once accused of something, even if it's absurd, it takes forever and costs a fortune to get set right.

My company is currently being sued for product liability for an injury that occurred years before we even existed, by a product we never made, in a state where we don't do business. The plaintiff's lawyer sued the wrong company by accident, and blew out the statute of limitations for suing the right party, so he won't give up.

I've already spent over 10 grand and many hours. Everybody agrees we should not be in the suit: my lawyer, the council for the at-fault company, and even the judge has said so, but he will not just end this abuse. Lawyers live in bizarro world and force the rest of us to come visit.

Shreaking Tommie Boy

You need to get better friends. Middle class blue collar guys have the world by the balls just like us middle class white collar guys. We have better tools, better toys, better kids, better wives than our parents.

I can't get over how frigging lucky we are as a nation and as men.

Then there are the few vocal hysterical new-age neutered males like yourself that when you aren't crying a river over gay and women rights, you bragg about all of the famous people you know or how much of a gym troll you are or how good looking you are.

You make drama queens and divas look stoical by comparison.

Young Ladies out there, please take note: ST is the result of dragging out the weaning process. Don't let that happen to your Little Man.

Shouting Thomas said...

Your jealousy is noted, Howard.

It's all part of the game.

Anonymous said...

So, you admit it's a game, ST? Somehow this makes me feel less queasy.

Shouting Thomas said...

The game I'm referring to, Inga, is the status battle between men. It's fought on a wide range of levels.

One of the most prominent battlegrounds is the chest thumping over who cares more about the ladies, and is more determined to protect their virtue.

Pretty good advice, all things considered.

Big difference in perception. Men don't elicit our sympathy. Women do. Everybody gets teary eyed and chivalrous over women.

A couple of interrelated problems here identified by the woman posting that video yesterday (girlwriteswhat). One is that men are disposable in an evolutionary sense, while women are not. Only need 1/umpteen of men to survive to replenish the species, since a little sperm goes a long way. But, every woman is (or, more accurately, was, before we as a species took over the world) important.

Another is what she identifies as one of the aspects of Neoteny, which is the maintainence of juvenile traits until later in life. Women retain the ability of children to emote, shed tears, etc. Men lose much of this ability as they age. And, while women are encouraged to show their emotions, and, essentially to act like children, both societally and evolutionarily, men are not. Rather, inappropriate showing of emotions or crying often results in a dramatic reduction in their status as a male.

So, men and women worry about women, while women worry almost exclusively about women, unless the male is closely related. Women are seen as much more important to society by both sexes.

Part of the problem is that absent the societal pressure to marry (a person of the opposite sex), more and more women are bearing their children out of wedlock. So, instead of girlwriteswhat's 50 grand for a chocolate bar, we are looking at the opposite, guys trading a little seminal fluid and some sperm plus 10 minutes of enjoyment for 18 years of maintaining the woman's household raising the resulting kid, with 0none of the advantages of being married.

And with the separation between biologically fathering children and the raising of them, the women no longer have to settle for having sex and marrying beta males. The result is that they are having sex with a decreasing number of males, who are fathering more and more of the next generation.

So, what is a young man's incentive to spend all that much time around women any more, if it likely isn't going to result in a long term marriage and fathering of his children? And, esp. since doing so will just make the feelings of incompetence in terms of breeding that much worse.
