The Ladies' Home Journal in 1963.

Encountered searching for something else just now. I'm putting this up because I like how it looks simultaneously so old and...

.... so current.

Wintour had a certain sexiness about her when she was young. Now thanks to 40 years of being one of the most shallow, evil people on earth, she has turned into one of the most unattractive, ridiculous looking people on earth. Perhaps there is something to that whole karma thing. Wintour at least has transformed into a form witch properly represents her soul.

I'll bet those ranch style cook outs bear no resemblance to anything on a ranch ever. Just like ranch style houses never looked like any ranch house I ever saw growing up.

What's the latest on birth control?

Maybe it was a faulty article...I was born in 1965, the third child in a family that planned two children.

The Magazine Women Believe In!

Women read way too much crap. Unfortunately, I think it's true. Women do believe in magazines.

The great language skills of women are every bit as much a negative as they are a positive. Women's desire for fashionable novelty is probably more negative than positive.

I refer you again to Judgy Bitch, who will tell you what the real change in status for women has been.

The message is that there are too many people and you should just have sex for fun.

That's been orthodoxy for 50 years.

Is that what the hairdo conveys?

Wig technology hasn't changed in 50 years.

The Population Explosion, now that's a term we certainly aren't likely to hear any more.

So are we going to hear about how the White House has moved to retroactively justify Aaron Swartz's actions and free the academic research taxpayers helped fund?

The only reason I have never supported a root level constitutional update was that we simply didn't have anyone remotely capable of replicating the Framers' combination of brain power and moral clarity, so better to leave it.

Aaron is one of the few people that would have been worthy of being on a Constitutional Convention in say, 2019.

Wintour was born in 1949. Was she actually 14 when that was taken or is that someone who just looks like her? If it is her, wow, talk about peaking early. She probably never looked better than she did at 14. The women on that cover is sexy as hell. Wintour, really any time since she has been editor of Vogue, has always been embarrassingly unattractive.

I love the idea Doc Spock was complaining how the parents were spoiled. Things haven't changed much for the Lefties when their stuff goes wrong.

PS Insta has a post on high school kids in '69 and notes no fatties.

This is what the Slob Culture of the 60s got us.

The Dark Greens still talk about the population explosion and how humans are a cancer on the earth and voluntary human extinction.

Of course, they don't commit suicide.

I didn't have kids, so it ends with me. I was more successful at avoiding unintended pregnancy than my mother was.

We may not, but give it a half century.

Nature abhors a vacuum.

And, besides, by then women will have come to their senses and gone back to being full-flavored*.

Not sure, but I think the cover girl is the legendary Jean Shrimpton.

If you like full flavored women, you must like my new profile pic.

OK marmots.

O MY GOODNESS!

I own a copy of this - I have Ladies Home Journals from 1958 - 1979 - I purchased numerous old magazine collections for the fun of it starting 10 years ago on eBay. I'll have to go into the storage locker to find it.

What intrigues me about this one is the "Population Explosion" Article. Another liberal FAIL. I'll report back someday after retrieving it and laughing at the Democrat/ecology/climate change idiocy and it's amazingly stupid history.

seriously - we should just publish all of the old liberal/Democrat/leftist material from 30 years ago and let the public see this epic FAIL for what it is.

By all means, let us know who's on the cover.

I'm waiting for Wintour's hair bob to part like the mandibles of the Predator and hear Dutch say...

"You one ugly muthafucka."

The 60s cover girl isn't Wintour. I'm just showing that the hairstyle is completely fashionable today.

I'm sure that page boy haircut (wig?) is employed to hide the sins of bad plastic surgery, and botox.

Speak for yourself. I still hear arguments like that all the time. Along with peak oil arguments and global warming arguments.

Those are ingrained talking points. The world could completely change and yet those are facts that will still be believed without dispute.

Also, kind of like libs view on race. How they still think the US is the South pre civil rights.

Progressives sure seem to have old ideas. They've been regurgitating them as much as fashion has been regurgitating its old ideas as much as Ann Wintour has been regurgitating her slut columns.

If you have ideas that old, should you still call yourself "progressive"?

The woman on the 1963 cover is lovely.

The woman on the cover can't be Wintour. Just compare the noses.

The Nose Knows.

Sorry my mistake, so Wintour was born a barker.

Whoever is on that cover, I want her now as much as I did in 1963. Only, I want the 1963 version.

I didn't know that Disneyland had a MILF Island Experience back in the day.

Also, was that Young Althouse in the soup ad?

Everything I've ever read about Wintour makes me have a very low opinion of her; shallow self-involved - smug- elitist - controlling - vain-thinks she's always right even when she's wrong.

How people like her get to be people like her is beyond my understanding.

In the spirit of Jesus writing in the sand... I'll not go there. As we each of us see what we need to see, or not.

Anna Wintour, is -- what? -- 63 years old. She is rich and she is a bitch. Still she is quite attractive for a woman her age. Her hairstyle suits her face and she has the lips of a woman 4 decades younger.

Of course, that make her about 4 decades too old for me, but still.
