"Manski fired back, casting Mertz as a 'blogger and a critic,' not a leader."

Sarah Manski, who is following her husband as he pursues a PhD in sociology in California. Following. Not leading.

So we learn today, after a primary on Tuesday, in which Manski, along with Mertz, advanced over one other candidate for the school board here in Madison. She was so committed. Until she wasn't.

So how many page views does Mertz have?

Higher page views and not being married to a Phd candidate sounds like credentials to me.

And where does a school board need leading to? Are the schools moving away?

Is austerity like communism? Not in my dictionary, but I'm not from Wisconsin.

Fred or Ethel?

Nobody votes for the landlord.

Leftists are just lunatics. Really nothing to know beyond that. The fact that in their little enclaves like madison they can get away with being flakes doesn't hurt them that much cause it's all insular.

Is Meade considered a troll on that hag page because he doesn't agree with the other libtards?

He really has too much time on his hands.

Hello, Hobby?

Why would you stay in Wisconsintucky when you can get a better gig in Cali? That seems to be the trend.

Judging by her pic, she'll be close to retirement age by the time hubby finishes his dissertation.

What a blow to Ben Manski's ego it must have been to be rejected by the UW sociology program. It's supposed to be pretty good.

And what a freaking hypocrite his wife is. His applications would have been due weeks or months before she even declared her candidacy. Were the two little egomaniacs SO SURE he'd be admitted to the UW that they didn't feel she needed to mention that she might not be around to fulfill her term if elected? And her pathetic little statement today claims she values honesty and transparency, yet she's deleted at least one valid critical comment on her Facebook page?

Just unbelievable, this hypocrisy on the left.

" two little egomaniacs "

Haha. That's Vortexy. The liberal Madison scene is very intriguing, the conservative element, not so much. Or so it seems.

Is "intriguing" liberal-speak for "dishonest and non-transparent"? ;)

Clearly, Meade is in some sort of Vortex.

We need more of those!

Maybe she'll learn something in California.

The Manski family and Althouse/Meade family:

"[Ben}Manski received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison Law School in 2005, and a B.A. in Sociology with a focus in Rural Sociology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1999." (Wikipedia, with a reference)

And "Ben Manski was soundly defeated by Brett Husley in the 2010 State Assembly Race."

Typical. Those lefty "reformers" are all a bunch of gypsies. They'll move into town, weasel their way into local government (groomed by local Dem graybeards), dump some big trendy changes on the locals, and then move on for a better position somewhere else.

You all should be glad she didn't get that far.

Is there a school board election this fall in California? I'm sure she see's greener, more fertile pastures for political self-empowerment in the left-wing California-wonderland. This little dust-up will not overly damage any chances for small, local, commissar positions out there.
