"We don't begrudge Ms. Warren's handsome earnings or her stands on legal principle..."

"... even if those principles do happen to underscore the complex nature of both the law and modern economy."
But when she talks about "the millionaires and billionaires" who supposedly "wrecked our economy" and "still strut around Congress, no shame, demanding favors, and acting like we should thank them"—as she put it at the Charlotte convention—perhaps she ought to recall her own legal strutting.

By the way, Harvard requires its professors to report any extracurricular consulting activities, but Ms. Warren is refusing to disclose this list so voters can decide for themselves if she's really a handmaid to the plutocrats disguised as Robin Hood through November 6. It would be instructive to learn what other corporations, and maybe even a billionaire, have had her on their payrolls.

Shameful, treating a Woman Of Color this way. We MA voters will crawl to the polls over broken glass if we have to to punish this racist campaigning.

Elizabeth Warren is a hypocrite extraordinare:

From the Boston Globe:

Elizabeth Warren demanded Monday that Senator Scott Brown release more of his tax returns. The only problem was that Brown, her Republican rival, had already released six years of tax returns while Warren has refused to release more than four years of her filings.

Asked to reconcile that apparent conflict, Warren backed off her demand, saying today that six years was enough. She did not, however, offer to release any more of her IRS filings

And now Ms. Warren is refusing to disclose this list so voters can decide for themselves if she's really a handmaid to the plutocrats disguised as Robin Hood through November 6.

If Scott Brown, Warren's opponent, is called a racist, Ann will consider voting for Warren by moving to Massachusetts for a couple of days in November.

Too bad Harvard Law Professor Anne Glendon never ran for office.

Glendon addresses politics as vocation at seminary talk -The Boston Pilot

"Glendon takes on the subject of the calling of virtuous people to public service in her book "The Forum and the Tower: How Scholars and Politicians Have Imagined the World, from Plato to Eleanor Roosevelt," the topic of her presentation.

Before moving into the historical subject matter, she spoke as a contemporary in the admissions process at Harvard and Boston College who saw students apply to college and law school intent on serving in public office.

"Many of those young people say that they are seeking legal education because they are drawn to public service, and that they are drawn to public service because they 'want to make a difference,'" she said.

She said many of her best and brightest students change their minds within three years, as they become disillusioned with the current state of politics and question the viability of not compromising their ethics, family life or religious beliefs."

I like Warren. It takes a special kind of person, who can stand there, and lie to your face, get caught in that lie, and not slink away in embaressment. It takes a lot of balls. Something our current Congress critters lack.

To bad she's a flaming sociopath.

Ps.

Ya' gotta' love her for wanting to be in the club that obseqious people beg favors from. I could never do that, I have too much pride. Or it could be a display of her need to be kowtowed too...what do they call that again? Oh yeah...being a bitch.

The are only two results that I really care about in this election: Warren and Akin to lose.

Warren losing a safe Dem. seat in Mass would send a message that there is a limit to the amount of hypocrisy people can accept. Akin's losing would hopefully help the GOP shed the nuttier elements of its social conservative wing.

Warren joined the Democratic criticism of Romney on Monday, demanding that the presidential candidate release 10 years worth of returns, GoLocalWorcester reported.

“I think Scott Brown should release his tax returns for all the years he’s been in public service,” Warren said. “He’s been in public service for 20 years, then he should have 20 years of tax returns.”

This morning, after questions from the Globe, the Warren campaign backed off its demands.

“Elizabeth was asked whether Mitt Romney should release more tax returns. She thinks that as a candidate for the highest office in the land, he should,” her spokeswoman Alethea Harney said in a statement. “Both Elizabeth and Senator Brown have released multiple years of tax returns that she believes give voters an understanding of each candidate’s financial circumstances.”

Warren also said Monday, as she has in the past, that candidates should only release tax documents for the years in which they have been in public service.

But that is not a universally accepted standard. It would mean, for example, that first-time candidates who spent their careers on Wall Street or running banks would not have to release any tax returns at all.

And even under that standard, Warren has limited her definition for her own career in public service.

She has included the years she spent leading a congressional panel overseeing the bank bailouts and the time she spent helping President Obama establish the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

But she has not included her work from 1995 to 1997 as adviser to the National Bankruptcy Review Commission, or her 2006 appointment to the FDIC Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion.

Brown’s campaign manager Jim Barnett said in a statement this afternoon that “Elizabeth Warren deserves a pair of gold medals for backpedaling and hypocrisy.”

He also repeated demands that she release employment records from Harvard and other universities where she has taught law to prove whether she used her claim of Native American heritage to advance her professional career.

'People feel like the system is rigged against them. And here's the painful part: They're right. The system is rigged," declared Elizabeth Warren in prime time at the Democratic convention—and she should know. By her own logic, she was one of the riggers.

Not only has Warren participated in the actual "rigging" the legal system in a practical way against the little guy, through her intellectually dishonest scholarship she's "rigged" the political debate to confuse the source of the middle class being "hammered".

It's tough being Elizabeth Warren. To grow up not having to be the "native American" when she and the rest of the kids played expansionist jingoistic gaia rapers and native Americans. To suffer quietly through school as no one mocked her proud invisible heritage. To blaze trails other fake minorities would be scoffed at taking. Taking the place of real minorities, because they already get so many set asides.

Elizabeth Warren's on The Crazy Horse monument. She can be the tenth seated justice on the SCOTUS by Obama's executive order as well. What a way to celebrate the new post-constitutional era!

EDH - "Not only has Warren participated in the actual "rigging" the legal system in a practical way against the little guy, through her intellectually dishonest scholarship she's "rigged" the political debate to confuse the source of the middle class being "hammered"."

-----------
No, EDH, like Karl Marx in his critique on Capitalism, Warren is mostly right in her critique of what the Ruling Elites and "Jobs Creators (TM)" have done to hurt the Middle Class, good job creation, and upward mobility.

Like Karl Marx, she conveniently omits other factors that have hurt the middle class like idiot EPA regs, Republican AND Democrat free trade policy, small biz paperwork. And of course the middle class footing the financial bill for both ObamaPhone parasite mommas and the unelected lawyers that have seized most of the power of US institutions, and the educational cost bubble that people like 375,000 a year plus 98K in benefits Liz Warren have created. .

And like Karl Marx, her solutions are so bad they should give those who accept the critiques of Marx and Warren - great pause.
