Kudos to her. She was every bit the equal of a man. That was very encouraging to see.

The Blonde is a very strong advocate of everyone learning CPR. That this girl had the skills to at least try to help is very commendable.

I hope she realizes that she did all she could and that sometimes these things are out of our hands.

I hate that they refer to the little girl in the 3rd person right in front of her face. That's insulting.

God bless this child and may the good lord shine his grace on those who died, their families, and their loved ones. May she be protected from the horror of it all. That's what I pray for and for her and her family.

I noticed that too, but it's probably because they can't say the names yet. It's too emotional for them.

Talk about damning someone with faint praise.

This young girl is an exemplar of humanity at its best.

She's obviously just as pure and strong and innocent as she was before. The danger for her is that after having suffered through an act of abominable violence, she might doubt her continued innocence. There would be no purpose to her being crazy about what happened, and in fact such craziness would be counterproductive. At this point, for her own person, there's nothing to fear but fear itself. Unfortunately, pundits will go on TV and radio and say things like the whole community has lost its innocence, as though the murderer has stuck his penis in the butt of everyone in the Denver metropolitan area or of every American who ever goes to the movie theater. Maybe the murderer on some level believed he was doing that, but that's him having been an idiot. He didn't put his penis in any part of anyone, apparently.

Men of a violent controlling temperament are the worst at failing to see that any appeal of their tyranny can never go further than their dicks can produce nasty. Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Qaddafi, now Assad, they all made the mistake of never being willing to give up, as though they've sodomized the greater part of their populations and of their enemies and any resistance is just provocation to encourage more addictively controlling behavior.

Bad men who like to control through violence, they too often mistake their desires to terrify as desires to kill, as though deluded by the hype of those who terrorize; the delusion makes them go from bad (selfish) to evil.

So sad. I worry about the survivors. When we were stationed in Killen, Texas; I had a friend who worked with a survivor of the Luby's shooting. One day she killed herself not long after her youngest child went off to college. She left a note saying she could no longer live with the bloodshed in her dreams. These people survived, but whether they'll ever truly get over it is another question.
