It's Day 17 of "Video a Day Until the Walker Recall." This is called: "The War Against Milwaukee and Madison."

It's not just a song. (Sample lyrics: "Milwaukee, heavy on minorities/Madison, for homosexuality/Milwaukee and Madison, I love you both.") The song is just the intro, though it takes 2 minutes. There are still 3 minutes left on this video, by Adam Schabow.

Stay tuned for spoken word section: "This is my house in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I live in the heart of a heavily, heavily African-American neighborhood... I love my neighbors.... At work, I'm the only white person in a department of 26, 23 of them are employees that work under me. I love my employees and I love my boss." (Note: They're not your employees.) This quickly becomes an attack on Scott Walker for using racism as a campaign theme, the notion being that to criticize Milwaukee is to scare Wisconsinites about black people.

Via Meade, via the Isthmus forum, where Schabow announced his project.

Wow, some of his best friends are black AND some of his best friends are gay?

What a great guy!

On what basis is Walker racisss? He's a living breathing white Republican? Yup. That seals it.

Mayor and candidate Barrett's Milwaukee has some of the highest black unemployment, truancy rates, segregation, infant mortality rates, and lowest graduation rates in the country.

How can anyone say Walker isn't a racist. The proof is right there!

My working theory is that this guy is Roach Voltaire. Surely one state couldn't have two guys this smug, could it?

A department of 26, and the one white guy just happens to be a supervisor. Now there's a rebuke to all you Republican racists out there!

Of course it's "racism" now. That's the standard surrender call of the Left. They lied about it being about the students and got caught, they lied about it being about economics and got caught, they lied about it being about the Constitution and got caught, so they end up back at sqaure one, squatting in the middle of the room wailing about the unfairness of it all. I will celebrate Walker's victory over the massively corrupt Union machine all night on Tuesday. I can't wait.

"Sisyphean"

There can't be a second recall until one year into Walker's next term, so if Walker wins this Tuesday, Schabow has quite a task before him. Something like 1000 videos, right?

Well it would be four years from now roughly so more like 1460. Math is hard.

All of "his" black employees just wuv him!

I bet.

He learned about diversity in Madison and how "some groups of people really had less of voice than others."

Smug hipsters from Wisconsin.

Is there any thing they don't know?*

He forgot to show us his vintage Motown vinyl collection, further proof he loves Black people, especially in analog.

Got Bonafides?

*rhetorical

Oh, the urbanity!

He does perfectly frame the struggle--exclusive recognition of only his values at the expense of the rest of the state. Way to be divisive Mr. Schabow!

The way that guy "dances" proves Choom is a white guy.

And, yes, guys like that have been giving the Left a bad name for 50 years.

God Bless the DoucheBag Racist in Wisconsin.

After all, DoucheBag Racist are people too!

Math is easier than the trick of making other people do the math for you. Thanks!

Meade thought it was hilarious that Schabow rhymed "minorities" with "homosexuality."

One out of every seven people in Wisconsin lives in Milwaukee or Madison.

Obviously they should determine policy for the whole state...

Don't get cocky.

The only flaw in all this is that Schabow replied to Meade's needling in the Isthmus thread with a certain amount of class and humor. When someone embraces a stereotype this thoroughly you want to see them take it all the way and not deviate even a little. It's like thinking you've really and truly met a hooker with a heart of gold, only to find out that she's fraudulently collecting food stamps.

Take up the White Man's burden--
Send forth the best ye breed--
Go, bind your sons to exile
To serve your captives' need;
To wait, in heavy harness,
On fluttered folk and wild--
Your new-caught sullen peoples,
Half devil and half child.

Keep on rockin' Wisconsin.

He walks out of frame at the end of the video to reveal a Nazi helmet tucked under the flag.

How the tambourine (screen right) symbolizes Milwaukee remains unclear.

Has there ever been an election campaign at any level anywhere that did not include democrats accusing their opponent of racism? I don't think they have any idea what it is.

I wonder how many people know why the Republican party was created?

So he works for the Milwaukee Bucks?

William said...

He claims to be a member of a heavy metal band. Heavy metal bands aint what they used to be. I just don't see him trashing a hotel room. Maybe not depositing his Starbucks cup in the proper trash receptacle, but that's about it.

I think Milwaukee, I think Happy Days. Of course there are no black people in Happy Days. So when I think Milwaukee, I think of lily white people. Also, jumping the shark, beer, and Pat Morita.

I believe racism is jumping the shark in November.

bagoh20 said...

I can tell you that for the rest of the country, when we think Milwaukee, the last thing we think is Black. Beer, white people, working class, beer, and a little cheese...and beer.

Maybe we should get a vote too, especially since it gonna affect the whole country, and maybe the world.

It's Sunday over here and Jesus told me not to make fun. I had best shut up.

But you know what? That does remind me there is a ton of stuff that needs to go to Goodwill. It's all good stuff but I have no intention of wearing it. I like the look of blank flat surfaces as much as I like the look of organized spaces. The walk through is a thoughtfully organized closet. Everybody comments on that. There is bathroom beyond it which is why people go through but I'd be happy with shelves.

To leave a sweater in the dryer to wrinkle then pull it out and wear it is a guy thing. Women pull out sweaters still slightly damp, block them, and fold them and put them away not hung, unstacked, and uncompacted. They taught me that, but I do not do it. Women are like aliens when it comes to clothes. Some are. One woman, obviously an alien from another planet I know not where, showed me her shoes. Not pridefully, just by way of explanation. They were all still in the boxes. She identified the shoe by the identity of the original box. Code. Who does that? The closet was all boxes. That's just one thing. She showed me many other household type things like that you wouldn't think of unless you were an alien creature, while simultaneously functioning with debilitating gaps, like an inability to locate a stray wire in a malfunctioning vacuum cleaner and an inability to align her headlights, while oddly mathematically adept. She would do the mathematical problems in Roman numerals presented as clues in NYT crosswords and have the solve like blam, it was a joy for her to encounter those, like "oh goody, a math problem in Roman numerals", that meant a gimme, a wedge into a corner, her attitude is infectious.

True story, bagoh - I was trying to have a discussion with a fellow I know (ex-fireman, current tile layer, union and left all the way). We were dicussing third parties when I noted in passing that the GOP was originally a third party, having been founded as an abolitionist movement.

He looked at me in complete befuddlement and said "I don't go for that?"

"Go for what?" I asked.

"The Republican party being against slavery. I don't go for that."

I looked him right in the eye, debating with myself how much I really wanted to have anything to do with this moron in future. I put down my beer, said, "I don't give a fuck what you go for, it's the truth. Why don't you go read a goddamn book instead of swallowing lies?"

We've seen each other since, but he never comes near me. Mission accomplished.

Given that one's associates tend to be similar to oneself --- his friends are likely really lame.
