Well the reason for the split seemed to be more honest than Kim's brief marriage.

Is there any evidence that these cartoon characters are real people?

She shows mercy to a man??

Maybe this is more about Fishing Behavior: the yellow food loving female fish nets her a male fish, but catches and releases him when he only eats blue food.

I don't think I've ever read a more honest statement - on feminism - than this.

Wow. Sounds like her ex-husband got a break really early on in the marriage and got away from this crazy self absorbed and self destructive bitch.

Lucky guy. Hope he has some better judgement the next time.

Color me surprised! I really thought this one would last. They were perfect together, like Katy Perry and Russell Brand.

I read a couple things on this little story mostly out of nostalgia. It sounds a lot like the dude's family was leaning on him hard to ixnay the ineadSay.

Sound like she had a moment of clarity - hope she can follow that.

The story as related on her blog is even more whacked. Worth checking out her media deferral on or about her wedding day. I'm no psychologist, but this woman has some narcissism fueled mental illness that has been sad to witness over the years. Shame on every last one of her enablers, inner and outer circle both.

Who'd she marry? The Pope?

Sinead has a huge tattoo right over her sternum! It's so astoundingly ugly and inescapable for anyone looking at her that you have to wonder how an artist can be so devoid of an aesthetic sense. And don't tell me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That thing is FUG UGLY.

I get the impression if he could have gotten his hands on it, hubbo's real drug of choice would have been cyanide.

Sine-aid let him off easy.

I thought Sinead had come out as a lesbian years ago?

I dunno. I read her entry on her website about ending the marriage and I thought it was pretty amazing of someone with her obvious mental and emotional problems to be able to do that. She could have been lying, of course -- she could actually have made a big fuss and made him miserable by clinging to him which is the usual response of unstable women who marry men whose family disapproves of her, but I'll take this at face value. She may be a wreck as we judge people, but she seems to at least trying to be honest. And I mean really, by this time, anyone who hears the name "Sinead O'Connor" and thinks of a rational, level-headed woman has been living on another planet.

She has finally succeeded in her lifelong struggle to subvert her grand good looks. She still has a terrific voice, however. Perhaps if she took up smoking Camels....What is it about female singers? I can't think of any other group of artistes, including jazz musicians and hip comics, who are so hell bent on their own destruction. Brittney Spears actually is somewhat saner than the average female vocalist. Perhaps singing all those scales deprives the brain of needed oxygen.....Anyway I retain a grudging affection for Sinead in all her weirdness and hope that someday she finds the still center of her whirling world.

That would explain why Stevie Nicks is relatively sane.

I was on a flight from DC to LA in 1990 or so...The flight was delayed for quite a while. Finally the rumor reached us that Sinead O'Connor was going to be on the flight. Her band sat right in front of me and another woman. The flight was nearly empty.

As soon as we were in the air, the flight crew announced free drinks to compensate us all for the delay. Sinead was seated in first class, but came back to her band as soon as we took off.

She didn't say a word the whole flight, just looked over the back of the seat prettily as we chatted - I talked quite a while with her keyboardist, as I recall, a real salt-of-the-earth kind of guy.

My impression of her was first of all how tiny she seemed. The second was that she was absolutely beautiful, bald head and all. I really wanted to talk to her and see what she was all about, but shyness got the better of me.

I always got the sense Sinead was damaged somehow, early on. Abused, I mean. Whereas Britney is just dumb and bratty. Probably not fair, but can't help it.

Seriously, you know this nut job has been married 3 times before. WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU THINK YOU WERE GOING TO DO AS #4? She didn't get it right the first 3 times, Mr. Special.

Wow she really got old & fat! I still want to remember her as she was in 1990!

This post should be entitled "Asshole Wants Attention".

This is true on many levels if you've been following the story.

I will not be explaining the reference.

Thank you. That is all.
