Madison radio personality Sly incites listeners to go to Paul Ryan's home and dump candy at his door.

Audio at the link.
We fired up our V-8 caravan and headed south to Janesville, home of an empty GM plant, worker plight, and Paul Ryan. He offered candy to a constituent who really just wanted a job and his legislative help in getting one for himself and the rest of Rock County's unemployed. So, we brought him enough sugar to last he [sic] and his yippy-skippy wife and neighbor the rest of their lives.
You can listen to the audio of the radio broadcast yesterday morning on WTDY. Sly gives out Ryan's home address, giggles about going over to the house to put candy there as a prank, and urges readers to head over there, with candy. He goes into detail about the directions to the house, the number of children who live there, and the physical attractiveness of the Congressman's wife.

Sly could just oppose sugar tariffs that have sent US candy manufacturing jobs to Mexico.

You know. Just saying and all that.

My first thought is "turnabout is fair play". If a radio host advocates protests at the home of a politician (or anyone), that host should be prepared for protests at his home. Does this guy have kids? Are his neighbors likely to be impressed with a large protest?

These people from the left never seem to realize their tactics can be turned around on them.

Classy.

The word lawsuit comes to mind.

(I know, the courts have fixed it so Lefty morons like this are protected under the First Amendment or something)

Of course, Ryan could go the union route and hire some goons to come down to the station while he's on-air and beat him like SEIU beat Kenneth Gladney.

KCFleming said...

Nothing sinister in broadcasting a foe's address and the fact there's a pretty woman alone with some little kids.

Nothing sinister at all.

Sly has a boner for Michael Moore. Douche.

I guess folks who disagree with this tactic now get an Ethical Irony Pass to broadcast Sly's home address hither and yon, along with descriptions of his immediate family members, and exhortations to dump items at his house.

The Feds raided the house of a former top aide to Walker this morning.

One of the agents had a large camera and two of them were wearing latex gloves. They spent time in the backyard and then went into the house. One also removed a large banker's box and put it in the truck of a car

Interesting!

I had some pretty lenient bosses when I was on the air, including one that was completely clueless, but I'm pretty sure, even with our market share, we would have gotten fired over something like this. I was arrested a couple of times, but even those stunts didn't get me fired. This would have.

Unless the station is privately owned and the owner was a dem. I suppose you could get away with it then as you'd be shielded from any fines.

Sly and his radio buddies might want to Netflix The Fisher King, a movie where Jeff Bridges plays a radio shock jock whose on air banter induces a man to kill someone, and his subsequent descent into penury and madness.

Around here, the imbecilic radio talk show hosts who like to give out phone numbers and addresses are a couple of alleged right-wingers named John and Ken.

While I agree with the majority of their statements, it is pretty obvious they really don apply any logic or thought to what they say.

I guess idiocy applies to radio hosts on both ends of the political spectrum.

Although, if you're fascinated by what's not being talked about on this blog, let's get a conversation going. What do you think about Gunwalker and Solyndra? Hanging offenses or just lots of PMITA jail time for the administration? Or do you want to just keep shrieking "Look! A bunny!"

Sly and the WTDY family stoned are a total class act:

Sly Sylvester criticized Lt. Gov. Kleefisch's attempts to move businesses from Illinois to Wisconsin, including references to Kleefisch's colon cancer.

""SLY" SYLVESTER: How amateurish is it to have Rebecca Kleefisch, who, I don't know, she has some like little panty business in her basement or something, I don't know. She's hardly a, she's hardly an entrepreneur. You know what? You know how amateurish that is? Cold-calling?

(Using high-pitched voice, speaking as Kleefisch)

'Would you like to move to Wisconsin? Would you like to move CouponCabin to Wisconsin? I'm Rebecca Kleefisch. I performed fellatio on all the talk show hosts in Milwaukee. And they endorsed me and that's how I became lieutenant governor. And then I got colon cancer and I ran around the state to help people. Even though I have government health care, screw everyone else.'

...

CRYSTAL McKENZIE: You know, it looks like she's wearing a wig because I know she's going through chemotherapy right now, so she may be....

SYLVESTER: I don't think that. That is her TV... that's vapid hair.

McKENZIE: (Laughing) OK.

SYLVESTER: That's her vapid hair.

McKENZIE: (Laughing) I'll take your word for it.

Turnabout's fair play, garbage. You want Althouse to talk about Walker's aide, I want you to talk about Gunwalker and Solyndra. But while we might speculate as to what the feds could be doing in the former case - though we have no evidence - you won't touch the others with a ten-foot pole, because it might dim the halo of your Little Black Jesus, the SCOAMFOTUS.

In any event, you've succeeded in jacking the thread away from the moral leper Sly. If I were Ryan, I'd blast a road of rock salt in the ass of the first jackhole to dump candy in my yard. And then I'd go to the radio station and introduce Mr. Sly's lower colon to the business end of a Louisville Slugger.

But I'm not Ryan. And Ryan is a gentleman who'll shrug this sleazy attack off. More shame to him.

DADvocate said...

Solyndra?

You goota be kidding. There's no equivocal comparison between Gibson and Solyndra.

Obama gave Solyndra over a half a billion dollars of taxpayer money in cronyism at its best. Solyndra squandered it and went bankrupt, which means they had to file papers in Federal bankruptcy court. Which in turn means all sorts of other stuff happens and the Feds will investigate, since the money came from the Feds to begin with.

Solyndra isn't a raid justified using the slimmest legal definition of a "crime," it's Obama caught with his pants down and Federal agencies carrying out their required activities.

Only and idiot or a slime wanting to justify thuggism would try to equivocate the two. And, I'm certainly more informed than you think I am.

More on Solyndra HERE. Read it and weep.

Solyndra would be typical political blunder which would blow over. But for one thing. The due diligence thing. It appears there was little and that it was rushed for the Biden speech. Problem.
