It looks very appealing. But soon it will be fall, and then it will be cold.

I made a pop-up card and mailed it Priority mail yesterday. The card is large. I can follow it being delivered today, right on time. If you would care to, here is a description.

As Curly used to say: "Hosta lumbago!"

"... don't be hostile."

Upon further review, the Bears still suck.

yesterday, I was hoping Althouse would have one of these open-ended do-hickey posts, 'cause I had something to say about something, but now I find I can't remember what it was, so I guess it wasn't that important.

Maybe this was it, Madman: Weatherman wakes up with corpse in hot tub.

Trooper York said...

Well it is obvious Madison Man.

You wanted to say that the Packers are going to get their asses beat tonight in a winless season.

Trooper York said...

Wait was that hositle?

Trooper York said...

Speaking of hostiles...we haven't seen AllenS in a couple of days.

I hope he is ok.

All that greenery kind of spoils the view, doen't it?

I love garden humor. I used to work at a gardening center and the jokes just write themselves. "Those are some cheap hoes." "Kinky hose? Not in this greenhouse! Sorry Brittany (she was a cashier)." "The only impatiens in this greenhouse is my own." Not to mention drawing faces on your fingers, plucking petunia flowers from the plants, and putting them on your fingers like little hats. It's Miss Petunia and her friends, ready for their tea party!

After the 2008 downturn, though, that all stopped. The company couldn't afford such low productivity.

Who lives amidst such lush beauty, suspended in air with robins and sparrows...

Golda Meir used to talk about how she loved Wisconsin because everything was so green in the summer. This is a good example.

Trooper always believes the best defense is a good offense. He doesn't want to explain why the Giants have had cross dressing head coaches[not that there's anything wrong w/ that] and wide receivers who shoot themselves.

Did you all know the movie, Big Fan, was based on Trooper's life?

If you don't want hostility, keep The Blonde away.

She hates green.

I love green. And red and orange. Didn't used to think much of orange, but now I adore it. Blue is lovely, too, of course.

I seen this photo on Drudge. The bark is racist.

This is funny

Nothing says Wisconsin quite like wine, designer handbags, and croquet.

Christy said...

Oh, my. Lovely, lovely view. Have you adjusted the color balance of your photos since you returned from Colorado? They look a lot bluer and greener these days?

MadisonMan said...

Troop, you forgot the modifying phrase World Champion in front of Packers.

I think the weatherman who fell asleep in the hot tub is going to lose his job.

AllenS said...

Hey, Trooper, I'm ok, just working leveling the ground and getting the footings framed up for my new building. Broke a piece on the loader for my tractor, and have to fix that. The place that I used to buy steel, doesnt carry any steel anymore, only aluminium and stainless. Either I fix the old piece or travel about 30 miles to the other place. Bummer. Getting ready to make super, then on to watch the SUPER BOWL CHAMPION GREEN BAY PACKERS kick some ass!

AllenS said...

Wait a minute, it's only Wednesday.

Trooper York said...

Glad you are ok Allen.

But the Packers are gonna lose 40-7
you heard it here first.

Trooper York said...

Hey I want to reccomend a great new book to you "Lombardi and Landry" by Ernie Palladino. It is about the only important time in their lives....when they were assistant coaches on the New York Giants.

AllenS said...

Sorry, I don't read books. I don't have to, I know everything already.

Is the jeep finished, Allen?

This is funny"

You know what's funnier? Illinois, whose Democratic controlled government raised taxes and borrowed $8 billion to deal with their budget crisis, is going to lay off thousands of state workers.

Wasn't that the route you assholes wanted to go here in Wisconsin?

AllenS said...

No, not yet, Deborah. Once warm weather got here, I had to stop work on the Jeep and do outside work. Once I get my new building up, I'll work on the Jeep again. So far, I've got the frame sandblasted, primed and painted. Same with both axles, tie rod assemblies, sway bar, transmission and transfer case brace. All brakes are new. New shocks, u and ball joints, some new bearings and seals, and everything is on the chassis. Wheels too. It's painted a gloss white.

Is that your back yard, ma'am? If so then I'd say Meade has been busy.

deborah said...

Sounds intensive, Allen, my hat is off to you. Post a pic when it's done!

NICE!!! Instapundit referenced S.M. Stirling's new "Change" novel. In short, basically all technology stops working in 1998. This book is set a generation afterward and is probably the second to last out of six.

I knew there was a reason I liked Glen, I just couldn't put my finger on it...
