"Lockerbie bomber Abdel Basset al-Megrahi is comatose, near death and likely to take secrets of the attack on Pan Am Flight 103 to his grave."

Says who?
CNN found al-Megrahi under the care of his family in his palatial Tripoli villa Sunday, surviving on oxygen and an intravenous drip. The cancer-stricken former Libyan intelligence officer may be the last man alive who knows precisely who in the Libya government authorized the bombing, which killed 270 people.

"We just give him oxygen. Nobody gives us any advice," his son, Khaled Elmegarhi, told CNN.... There is no doctor. There is nobody to ask. We don't have any phone line to call anybody."
Who is this "CNN"? They have a photo of a man lying in his own bed in a villa, not in a hospital, wearing an oxygen mask, and they have the statement of his son. That proves this man will never speak again? I don't believe it. We were told this guy was near death 2 years ago, when he was released from prison in Scotland. Libyans welcomed him home as a hero. Why would we accept these new assertions as true?

And "the National Transitional Council, the rebel movement that toppled Gadhafi, announced Sunday that it won't allow the dying al-Megrahi to be extradited."
"We will not give any Libyan citizen to the West," NTC Justice Minister Mohammed al-Alagi said.
Will President Obama speak to this?

With CNN on the case ... then this story becomes very funny!

How come when Lara Logan was being raped in Cairo ... the CNN crew was nowhere to be found?

You know, if this guy opened an eyelid, how would his family explain who the hell the CNN crew was!

First came out to LA ... Didn't know the fuss people made over Halloween. But my ex was working at a local hospital. And, we went in to visit him there.

Oh, boy! Everybody ... including doctors ... all had on Halloween costumes! If an unconscious patient suddenly opened his eyes ... I was sure this person would believe they were dead.

While I think, too, Kaddafi is in Zimbabwe. He's flown the coop.

And, believe it or not there aren't enough rebels to control the 19 tribes! But don't worry. CNN is on the case!

Hmmm - - all signs point to yes. The man hasn't ever met a topic he won't speak to. But, by the time he gets around to it, that Libyan will be long dead

Michael said...

No, the president will not "speak to this."

No, not in a meaningful way, if he says anything at all.

As far as I know, we only have Moammar Gadhafi's word for it that Megrahi was "the bomber," and I think it unlikely - very unlikely - that Gadhafi would have offered up the real bomber, who might actually have known something he could talk about.

NTC Justice Minister Mohammed al-Alagi needs to be stapled to something until he understands that Libya does best to do what we tell them.

Since he only had 6 months to live when he was deported from Scotland, how do we know the coma is true?

Carol, as I recall finally learning, she was not raped qua rape-rape. IOW she did not get any cock. She got groped and fingered by a hundred guys who probably didn't have eight inches between them.

Not that they shouldn't have all been shot, but that was some kind of mass molestation, not rape as I understand the term.

Let's do a trade. I hear Libya is short on food and water right now.

Ok, trade them 10,000 tons of food for him. Then lock him in Gitmo.

He can die there.

themightypuck said...

Who cares where he dies? If he was in America we would be obligated to give him the best available medical care because that is how we roll. I suppose it makes sense if you think he's faking it.

Where's Scotland, when you want them to "pipe up?"

Horse shit, Nachivo @ 11:03 PM. You're again missing the mark on the thread's topic.

As to Ms. Diallo. She really did birth two kids. One of them died.

I doubt her life in Africa was any picnic.

And, for good measure I don't believe a word of what the prosecutors say is motivating them.

But the hate from the right?

You can count 'em up! And, it's about weighs in as equal ... when we're given views of the left, who live in Madison.

Libya?

Now, that's a different story!

If 40,000,000 Libyans hated Kadaffi's guts ... he'd never have gotten around to building one single golden statue.

But there ya go, again. Minding everybody else's business.

While I still say if CNN is on the case, it's just like Dubai. And, the Mossad went in there to hold a graduation ceremony. Because you don't need 50 Mossad agents to "off" one guy.

I wish we had better "experts."

5:03 PM. The right wing crew sure shows up, here, though.

Actually, I think they might kill him if he does not die on his own. Knows too much.

I don't believe the Libyans nor the CNN folks.

Neither are prone to honesty.

@ traditionalguy 5:10 - Yup, and we gave them air cover, equipment, and weapons. And even after we do all that for our enemies they still don't like us.

I'm not a doctor, but I have seen people who are close to death -- if you are sensitive there is a sense of weakness you can feel. The most recent photograph I saw of this terrorist Basset did not show a man close to death. It showed a man with a mask in a wheel chair who looked well nourished.

The Libyans that welcomed him home as a hero,
Were they Gaddafi loyalists, or our rebel "friends" ?

Scottland and Brown, Soros puppet, were well paid. They wil take care of him

And after all Eason Jordan did to build up CNN's reputation?!?!? C'mon -- Is there any evidence that CNN would just overlook any genuine abuses or misreport the news just to ensure they maintain a presence in a foreign country?

Obama and Holder would read him his rights...what would that do?

Is SEAL team 6 doing anything tonight?

CNN really couldn't even do an E/R episode.

Here, you're told the guy is comatose. And, you don't even have a bag from the catheter filling with urine?

Didn't their camera guy at least go over with a pin and poke to see if the guy responded?

How about a mirror under his nose?

They were probably tending to AC's mussed hair.

But really, they already have a constitution founded upon sharia law. What could go wrong?

Diplomatically this guy is a small fry, and may not be worth the effort to bring to the United States. I mean the United Kingdom let him go over oil deals. Will we take him out of Libya at the lost of oil deals?

loss not lost

Rabel said...

Doesn't matter whether or not he's dying. The Clinton administration agreed to have him tried under Scottish jurisdiction. His release was in accordance with Scottish law.

Like it or not, I don't see where we have any claim on the guy.

Does this mean the rebels are reserving the right to execute Qadhafi?

Will Carol_Herman write a rambling comment?

He might do better to shut up for a while. I think most people are picking up on the empty suit vibe.

My biggest disappointment of the whole O'bama-Libya debacle was not having a JDAM malfunction and land on this guy's villa.

where are shoddy defense contractors when you need an excuse :)
