"I just want this to be over," says Weiner-pic recipient, posing, yesterday, for a picture in the NY Post.

Is anyone interested in this person? The focus is on Weiner, a politician of some significance. I can see why Gennette Cordova has stepped forward to make a statement and why she might want to pose for a more dignified photograph than the one that had been making the rounds, but I am not hearing anyone saying anything negative about her. Melt back into private life. Close the door.

I'd have held out for a six-page spread in Vanity Fair, posing in a convertible with sunglasses on. Then I'd file a flurry of lawsuits because I was wrongly outed of my CIA desk job by a Republican cabal.

The general public isn't interested. But I bet the students and teachers at her school are making a big deal of it. Collge student & dick pic: who could predict unreasonable mania?

Just because her new level of public interaction doesn't measure up to yours or Weiner's doesn't mean it isn't an unwelcome increase to her. Especially given how embarassed she must be when around the more mature people in her life, like the grandparents she mentions.

RuyDiaz said...

Aha, I see her angle.

She doesn't want people to think The Weiner sent the picture to her, but to Ginger Lee. Doesn't want the tea-making boyfriend to get the wrong idea.

Does Twitter auto-populate addresses like Outlook does? If so, I can buy this 100% as there have been many times one finger slip has sent an email intended for a co-worker to a buddy from college. He, to his credit, always answers as serious/bullshit as he can, letting the response dwindle into unintelligible jargon by the end of the paragraph.

So, it could very well be that he meant to send it to the porn stripper. But that doesn't change things one bit. In fact, as far as his wife is concerned, I'd say it makes things a mite worse.

I've exchanged a few Tweets with GennetteC. She strikes me as an upstanding (though hopelessly indoctrinated) young lady. As for the one pic she assented to, that was out of literally 100's of requests. Hard to call that attention-whoring, unless you need her to fit into that role so the scandal fits into the familiar pattern.

It's quite possible that she is hounded by the media for interviews, and we don't see all of that. Thus, it's quite possible that she has some hope of "melting back into private life" after this interview. Haven't really seen anything indicating she is an attention whore.

She's the whore, right? And so it starts. This reminds us of what they did to Bill Clinton victim Paula Jones, also the victim of a flashing that eventually led to Bill Clinton's conviction.

SevenMachos are you trying to suggest that this innocent victim solicited thephotograph of the Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner's erect penis?

Because there has been no evidence put forth by anyone that the victim solicited the photograph.

In fact, just the opposite. Rep. Anthony Weiner claims his account was hacked and that the photograph of his penis was flashed at her illegally without his knowledge or consent.

This young student is the innocent victim of an illegal flashing by a pervert. Weiner claims he is not that pervert, and we all know he's lying through is teeth to avoid jail, but there is absolutely no evidence thus far that should cause you to blame the innocent victim.

So stop being a fucking douchebag.

No. The most likely theory is that 'the girl from Seattle' was flirting with the Weiner, and the Weiner thought it was time for the close-up. She's now embarrassed and trying to patch things up with her family and boyfriend. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

"Is anyone interested in this person?" "This person"??? In the post title?

That's an interesting choice of words used to refer to Ms. Cordova. Reminds me of Bill Clinton's remark about Monica Lewinsky: "I did not have sex with that woman."

This person, that woman. Both are examples of degrading language.

She's been harassed-- and her family has been harassed-- by the press all week. All that time she's ignored the journo-stalkers. Now she gives one interview and folks like Coketown and MadisonMan attack her as a media whore in these comments. Folks on other sites are much worse.

I think it's disgusting what has been done to her. She is not a public figure. Her privacy should have been more respected, and people like Althouse and Breitbart should have spoken out more forcefully about that when the dick tweet was first reported.

There is no "most likely theory."

There is no theory at all. Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner's damage control team has now admitted in interviews with journalists that Weiner has a pattern and practice of sending photographs of his erect penis to young girls he meets on the internet.

Those are facts. Not theories.

He is what is known in sexual dysfunction circles as: an exhibitionist. Exhibitionism is a mental defect and sexual disorder that is recognized by the medical community and is treatable if the person gets help.

That's not a theory.

Weiner's own damage control team has admitted these facts to journalists.

"There's nothing hilarious about this story. No jokes allowed."

You're not making jokes. You're attempting to deflect attention away from Rep. Weiner and onto the innocent victim of his crime.

There is nothing funny about that.

Rep. Anthony Weiner is a sick individual who requires medical intervention to cure him of the sexual disorder he has called exhibitionism. That's not funny. he's a sick, sick man who requires medical assistance.

Just because you can't see his injury doesn't mean he's not sick. If his aorta was open and he was bleeding to death from his jugular vein, someone would call an ambulance. But just because his sickness is in his mind, nobody wants to see him get help.

That's not funny.

The girl is an innocent victim of a crime. She is either

a) the victim of the crime of hacking, or

b) the victim of the crime of flashing by Rep. Weiner.

So, no, I don't think it's funny that you would tell jokes about an innocent student "accepting pictures of cocks twice her age" since she never solicited a picture of this sick man's penis.

I'm pretty sure if some cocksucker Congressman starts stalking your kid on the internet and sending her unsolicited pictures of his cock, you wouldn't be making jokes about it.

Ann Althouse Claimed: "I am not hearing anyone saying anything negative about her. Melt back into private life."

Ann, you need to take a good hard look at your own comment section, in which there are extremely negative unprovoked comments about Ms. Cordova.

The very first comment by SevenMachs, is this doozy: "Is she still accepting pictures of cocks twice her age?"

I would submit to you that such comments are extremely negative, and extremely available to you and sorta knocks down your theory that nobody is saying anything negative about Ms. Cordova.

They're outright saying right on your blog that she is "accepting pictures of cocks twice her age" as if she is some internet floozy who wanted Rep. Weiner to criminally flash her.

The fact of the matter is that some Democrat boosters ARE saying very unflattering things about Ms. Cordova - as part of a pattern of how they destroy the victim. Just like they did to Paula Jones and Jennifer Flowers.

And Ms. Cordova has the right to grant an interview with the press to try to recover her good name and reputation without aspersions being cast on her motives by you.

Otherwise, people like SevenMachos and the others who are paid to destroy peoples reputations in the service of mentally ill perverted Congressmen will get away with their character assassinations unchallenged.

I think you should revisit your statement.

Cordova goes on to say that The Post unethically "got that information surreptitiously" and "passed it off as an interview."

Such newsgathering tactics are widely viewed in journalism schools as being unethical.

She alleges that New York Post employee Reuvon Fenton was the person who posed as a photographer's assistant and that he took her comments out of context and presented them as if she had authorized an interview with the New York Post.

"Reuven Fenton, who posed as a photog assistant, sleazebag "writer" for the @newyorkpost, I'll remember the name," Cordova writes on Twitter.

I've been following Weinergate since it first started early last Saturday morning (Don't ask why; just check the archives and you'll see I was the first to even mention it on this website).

And even now she is shading the truth for Weiner's benefit. She claimed not have seen the picture that was sent to her yet if you read the TweetDeck/Twitter transcripts you'd see that when it wasn't sent her first response was "WTF."

Even the statement she released to the press on Monday appears to have been written by Weiner's PR people.

Since Saturday night she has opened at least four new Twitter accounts and two new Facebook accounts; that's not the behavior of someone craving privacy.

FedkaTheConvict said...

"That is who Weiner was really trying to tweet ..."

Not much evidence of that. Weiner has tweeted his cock photos to lots of girls he's met on Twitter.

This porn star and Ms. Cordova are not the only ones. He's sent these photos out to many girls.

Two damage control experts working for Weiner told Politico that Weiner is now admitting to them privately that he has a long pattern and practice of flashing young girls on the internet.

Politico: "Two people who spoke to him privately said he had suggested that, as one said, 'he took or sent a photo or photos like this at some point ...'"

It is now undisputed even by Rep. Weiner's internal damage control firm that he has in the past sent these types of obscenely lewd photographs (or "flashings") to young girls he's been having internet communication with.

"Coming from him, it sounds perverted, but funny."

Well, I certainly didn't "get it."

SevenMachos writing that he'd fuck the innocent victim of a flashing crime? That's pretty over the top.

We have to put that in context with a few facts:

1) There's a "nut or slut" campaign being waged against this girl ...

2) reminiscent of the "nut or slut" campaign instituted against Monica Lewinsky, Gennifer Flowers and Paula Jones by ...

3) Bill Clinton ...

4) the same guy who officiated ...

5) at Anthony Weiner's wedding 8 months ago.

Context.

So maybe I'm not getting the joke because it looks an awful lot like the beginning stages of the typical Bill Clinton recommended "nut or slut routine" any time they're caught - literally - with their pants down.

I think jokes made at Anthony Weiner's expense are completely appropriate and part of the tussle of political life in America. He stepped into the arena willingly. He's a public figure by his own choice. He's a New York politician and knows what the deal is concerning the rough-and-tumble of the New York political scene.

The innocent victim of his crime, however, should be out of bounds. She's not a public figure and did not choose to become associated with his flashing episodes. She's just a young girl in Seattle who he decided to stalk.

Sure.

Two sources inside the campaign to save Democrat Anthony Weiner's congressional career and who are part of his damage control team recently spoke to journalists Jon Allen and Byron Tau, who work for Politico ... an internet news site devoted primarily to politics.

Those sources told these two journalists that Congressman Weiner has revealed to them privately that he has, in the past, sent precisely these kinds of obscenely lewd exhibitionist photographs to other young girls on the internet and that's why he can't say with any certitude that the photograph of his erect penis associated with the Seattle student is not his.

It could be his, he has said, because this is something he admits that he does. He exposes his genitals via photographs to young girls on the internet and has done this in the past, these sources told Politico.

The Congressman has a mental defect. A sexual disorder known as: exhibitionism. It's a widely-known about disorder and it's treatable with drugs and therapy.

Here is the link to these journalists investigative piece:

http://goo.gl/k8CnZ

And here is a link that explains the mental disease known as "exhibitionism" which is usually treated with a combination of psychotherapy, medication and adjunctive treatments that can include electroshock therapy.

Mr. Weiner needs to be taken to a hospital where he can be administered treatment for his mental illness.

It's a crime nobody will call an ambulance for him even though we're forced (by him and his cohorts) to purchase health insurance.
