Leftard troll smugly insinuating that this is all somehow just "self-promotion" on the Professor's part in four... three... two...

Excellent. Something to listen to between Tourney games.

Perhaps the leftard trolls would rather Althouse and Meade were dead, Kent. Dead men tell no tales, and all that.

Cheers,
Victoria

Oh, I'd be laying damned short odds on the absolute veracity of that statement in at least three or four cases, V. ;)

If I understand this, now, the threat wasn't sent "here." It was found by a Google search. And, was uploaded to a site I had never heard of. Did Jim Shankman ever believe you'd even see it?

Now, what you've done is put the information here. Where so many people came and saw the diatribe. (For those of us who come here often, we also know Meade climbs the white oak tree out back.) Which, if a whole group of people came with baseball bats ... to throw onto your lawn ... Wouldn't he see them coming a mile away?

"Dealing with threats" will be our new language. It's going to appear wherever you have Tea Party people congregating ... even though in spite of all their work Obamacare passed ... Americans want to remain secure in their knowledge that they are free to assemble. And, the kooks (nor the Hari Krishna's), can come at them to aggressively push them in their faces. Most of the time we expect to see the police, and police barriers up. Done very professionally, too.

I also don't think "IN YOUR FACE" is going to attract voters to candidates. In America, there's always the "sympathy vote" reaction, as well. Waiting to see what's up ahead.

Plus, the good news is that this is the Internet. And, the Internet LINKS.

That this story has legs is in your favor. Ed Morrisey once had a blog of his own. But he left to go to Malkin's site.

I love this site so much I'd hate to see you take it down. (Meade climbing trees? Now, that's a heart stopper.)

Far too late for that, mum. They have been to WI public unions what Thomas Nast was to Tammany Hall.

And their record is all over the internet.

WV "nonsinn" What Willie said what he did to Monica was.

Does this radio show emanate from any antenna anywhere? Or is it like bloggingheads.tv?

Real Radio, FLS. For Real Americans.

This interview and incident notwithstanding, doesn't the conservative media know that you can't "shame" the MSM into covering the death threats and other violent rhetoric towards Republicans. I would even wager that the more coverage they get solely in the conservative media the easier it is for the MSM to claim its just noise from the right wing

No, Phil 3:14. But Jim Treacher's article is linked to by Glenn Reynolds. And, the sentences are so delicious!

One of my favorites goes something like this: "I don't like to attribute to malice, that which is due to incompetence, but how brain-dead are the media elites?" (In missing the story that "civility" doesn't even occur at Irish weddings.)

What we get here, however, is the chance to talk to each other; as well as to view Ann and Meade's work. Not only for the entertainment value. Not only for seeing a broad spectrum of opinions appear ... but you can learn stuff. (I'm still in awe of SIMON's comments when he explains the law.)

Delaying going out so as not to miss this radio interview. Hope everything is running according to plan.

802.11 a/g/n

62 viewers on air. Probably most of them Althouse readers.

Nice burp, Ed Morrissey. Now pull my finger.

vbspurs said...

Very nice beginning, Ann. "I never bought into the new civility", that it was just a way to intimidate Republicans.

vbspurs said...

OMG. You guys are missing Ann mimicking Barney Fife. Not Frank, FIFE.

Exactly, the video Jared Loughner made walking around his campus could not presaged that this was a young man about to kill 7 people. There are millions of alienated youths like him.

Ann mentions Meade!

vbspurs said...

Heh, crafty, Ann. Since Shitloh and other trolls constantly mention that you are bringing this story to light for your own self-advertising purposes.

It's clever to turn that around and mention that Jim Shankman certainly is feasting on the attention his odious manifesto has gotten him.

Using the trolls' squirrelly logic, maybe that's why he did it!

ED MORRISSEY IS SINGING FRIDAY. Where is Kent!

vbspurs said...

I'm guessing Ann is on hold and cannot hear this on her phone (albeit yes, if she's online at HotAir).

vbspurs said...

This was a meatier interview, since Ann got to speak all this time (nearly 30 minutes with breaks included), but I liked the Megyn Kelly interview better.

Morrissey is commenting on the high numbers of viewers on the studio cam. Sure, Ed, I'll watch one day!

Personable, lucid, nice interview.

Miss Victoria, why are you dissing Ed Morrisey. He's been blogging for years and usually has a very smart take on things. Don't understand your animus.

vbspurs said...

Miss Marilee, I wouldn't dream of dissing Ed Morrissey! Now Allahpundit is another dealie.

I was on the phone, hearing the broadcast radio feed, which was commercials.

Ed Morrissey and his broadcast partner Mitch Berg (also a blogger) live in the Twin Cities area. They broadcast over the air for a radio station in Eagan, Minnesota, WWTC (AM1280). I heard the last part of the interview on my car radio as I was driving home. Ed and Mitch are good guys and good interviewers. I enjoyed the part I got to hear.

Peter Hoh said...

I was working and missed it. Drats.

FLS, yes, it's real radio, and Mitch and the others have done a good job of creating an audience for themselves.

Mitch has pretty deep roots in radio.

Ann - I love you, but you have picked up one bad habit from your frequent bloggingheads appearances. Sometimes when the other person is attempting to interject, you quickly raise your voice and talk over the person. That's not particularly objectional in that setting - it is a debate format, after all. But when you're a guest on a show and the hosts are clearly supportive of you and wanting to hear you, it doesn't play well.

Other than that quibble, it was a very enjoyable program. Glad to hear you're taking the nutjob seriously.
