Who sounded the "ding-a-ling"? Wright?

Fred4Pres said...

Did someone tie a cow bell around Bob Wright's neck?

Because he has a fever and the only prescription is more cow bell!

Quaestor said...

The folks in the Rotunda aren't the only ones in a echo chamber. Listening to Wright defend Obama's war on Libya makes me giddy with delight. Wright is evidently reading from Jay Carney's podium notes. Just substitute Bush for Obama, Saddam for Qaddafi and Kurds and Shi'ites for Libyan rebels and you have a competent defense of the Bush Doctrine.

Palin alarm?

Drew said...

Is the claim of "lives saved" by Obama in Libya as nonsensical as the "jobs saved" by his Stimulus Bill?

Trooper York said...

How much is Fraizer's brother paying you to pimp his failing site?

traditionalguy said...

Is it a momma grizzilie roar?

Greg Toombs said...

@Drew,

Lives "saved or created" by Obama's policies.

Heh. As if.

Can you at least warn us when the link is to a BH video? I am totally uninterested in them.

All of them, not just yours. :) Though if there was a transcript, I would likely read it.

DADvocate said...

Hundredss of liberal drones, deep in underground bunkers with dim lighting, manning their monitors and keyboards. Everytime "Sarah Palin" is spoken in a video or audio file, one of them hitsthe "ding-a-ling" sound. Which is why we call liberals ding bats.

We know he doesn't want Sasha or Malia punished with a baby, but the Libyans, well, okay.

Nice trick to hide a diavlog by just linking rather than embedding. I still didn't click it. I never been interested in visiting liberal enclaves. I really don't want to watch a liberal enclave over a period of time.

The liberals keep crying wolf. will this ever backfire on them?
Even the media may get tired of the party of hate.

The Crack Emcee said...

Wait - I thought she doesn't have a chance? Isn't she so hated she's out of the running already?

Nobody's scared of her, right?

Rubes.

You can't just post something with Palin in the title and expect to automatically get 300 comments you know.

He made a funny face when he heard it.

bagoh20 said...

I noticed when that happened in the earlier post and what set it off.

The only tag a successful blogger needs: "Sarah Palin"

Meh, I think the "liberal enclave" part ruins the joke. [written from a conservative exclave of one.]

bagoh20 said...

Some people have guard dogs, but a guard cow? How effective could that be against a momma grizzly?

chickelit said...

Teacher says, every time Palin dings, a lefty gets his wings!

When I hear the term "Palin Alarm" I think back to all the vintage WWII films I've seen where when the battle station horn goes "Oooogah-Oooogah" all the sailors jump out of their bunks in their skivvies and run for their battle stations.

Except this time it's Democrats in their skivvies....

Not a pretty picture.

traditionalguy said...

Wait until the day Sarah announces her candidacy for President. There will be a fourth of July like celebration explosion drowning out the sound of the air going out on Mittens, and Karl Rove will be appearing on TV 5 times in one day to explain why Palin cannot win, no way whatsoever, period.

tooclass said...

hah, you guys really don't realize how much of an echo chamber the comments are here at Althouse. It's the same kind of reinforcing BS you find on any liberal website. You, just like the liberals think that what you are doing is somehow different from what the other side is doing. Try viewing it from a detached perspective and you'll find that it's complete silliness all around.

YoungHegelian said...

@tooclass,

Thank you so much for dropping your unsolicited words of wisdom on our benighted virtual community here.

Oh! Look at the time! You've really got to be going now, right?

Buh-Bye!

I tried detach but it didn't last. I was back within a day.

traditionalguy said...

Tooclass...Give us another chance, please. We promise to let you try to win an all night debate with Ritmo( a/k/a Conservative for better Dental Health). But don't expect to get any of that echo chamber stuff past The Ritmo. He has his standards.

Detached? If you don't pick a side you have no soul, if you don't fight for it, you have no balls. Not all questions fit the answer of "whatever", and being right matters.

If you don't have an opinion, keep it to yourself.

DADvocate said...

how much of an echo chamber the comments are...

And how much you sound like so many other (insert pejorative here).

We're just having fun with this post.

bagoh20 said...

Can you just imagine a prepared (and I think that is quite possible) Palin running against Obama. Oh, the drama of it. Even better would be against Hillary. Damn, that would be hot! The actual term of the winner would be an incredible letdown after the campaign of all time.

DADvocate said...

LOL. First time I've heard that. I'm putting it on the refrigerator.

Professor;
Why are you "black and white" while Mr. Wright is in living color.

Also why does Mr. Wright only occasionally (and seemingly reluctantly) look at the camera (i.e. you)? Its disturbing and distracting.

Its now the "Palin Alarm" its The Palin Cowbell!

AA seriously, is this a throwaway post ?!?

If not, why should anyone be alarmed by anything mama grizzly does or doesn't do ...

Although most Alaskans are happy she quit her job and every comedian on the planet is hopin'/prayin' she'll run for president.

Conservative bloggers are the ones obsessed by palin, whereas liberal bloggers use her for comic effect!

Hey, it's a win/win lol.

No debate.

Catfight - hair pulling, eye scratching, no rules.

Winner gets a shot at Andy Sullivan.

PS somebody tell the Kos troll his little non sequiturs are getting old.

Carol_Herman said...

Nope. Palin's numbers are down. And, oddly enough, Trump's are up. Because he is sort'a saying he can afford an Independent run.

What would happen if the republicans, as is usual, pick another Dewey? Or Jeb Bush? Or Mitt Romney? Or anyone of their assorted "can't win it" in 2012?

Would Trump do better than Ross Perot did in 1992? Because Perot did the one INSANE thing of "quitting" before November 1992 rolled around. And, he still sucked up 19% of the vote.

Heck, even back when Woodrow Wilson won, and landed in the Oval Office without ever being more than just an academic ... Thanks to Teddy Roosevelt's attempt to dislodge Taft. And, run as a Bull Moose.

Taft came in 3rd.

You can laugh at Trump all ya want. He's willing to bring the fight to Obama. And, he's mentioning things not said out loud. Those that did got labeled "birthers." Heck, even people in the Tea Party could grow to love him.

And, democrats jumping ship? You bet'cha. In droves.

What if Palin and Michelle Bachmann have a cat fight at the convention?

Oh, and Obama's approval ratings are tanking.

RuyDiaz said...

"Nope. Palin's numbers are down. And, oddly enough, Trump's are up.[...]"

And here is where I plant down my flag on Trump.

I have this suspicion, deep down in the amygdala, that he's a psychopath. A very sucessful one. Based on that fear alone, I'll never vote for the man. If it gets to that, I'll probably gather myself that Tuesday morning, and vote for Obama instead.

Trooper York said...

Donald Trump is not running. He doesn't have the money. It is all smoke and mirrors with him.

Phil 3:14 "Also why does Mr. Wright only occasionally (and seemingly reluctantly) look at the camera (i.e. you)? Its disturbing and distracting."

I've come to see it as a liberal characteristic. Illustration: Three summers ago our 11 member city Assembly dealt with a highly controversial and hot-button issue. Hundreds of people testified - it was all the news all the time in our city. It went on for most of the summer. Our three kids were 12 and 13 at the time. They didn't come to any meetings, but when I showed them pictures of the Assembly listening to public testimony, (published in the website of the local paper) they could pick out who were the libs and who the cons, just by who appeared to be listening and who appeared not to be listening.

Unfortunately, my personal experience with most libs is that they don't respect the people they disagree with and that disrespect is reflected in their mannerisms during conversation. Or, in the case of that summer, when listening to public testimony. On the whole, conservative Assembly members gave everyone (including those they disagreed with) all their attention. Libs checked out (visited with each other, blogged, or just looked bored) when someone was testifying that they disagreed with.

With that kind of behavioral games-playing it's pretty hard to take libs (or "progressives" if you prefer) seriously. Alarm? What alarm? Althouse would be better served to find a more credible venue.

You got that right.

Anybody who thinks any Democrat, or thinking American wouldn't love to see this little twit running for president on the GOP ticket is out of their mind.

She just told you where in the world she came up with it, you obnoxious ass. Are you that eager to demonstrate the point she just made?

The thing that struck me most forcefully about this clip is how utterly blasé Bob Wright seems to be about death threats, bomb threats, and efforts to run people out of town. He couldn't look more unconcerned if he had picked up an iPod and stuck buds in his ears.

That's because he secretly thinks they deserve it.

All kidding aside, Bob Wright is fundamentally a bad person.

He displays it here.

Trooper York said...

If you or yours were ever in trouble you would be sure that Bob Wright would take the Greg Stillson approach.

I have naan, roti and vinadaloo coming out of my ass.

If you need someone to move your house I know a guy who can do the move...all on his back.

And don't get me started with the fucking cows.

I told my husband the smell of curry makes me sick. That was a big fight.

But I am all about the love now. And I have become Global. Where Althouse and Meade are locale I am Global.

Globals do look down upon locales though and for that I am sorry.....not reallly

Its great how our liberal friends get all exorcised about a funny aspect of a Bloggingheads segment.

They can't help themselves when it comes to sticking their noses into others' business.

They will forever be the 'nosy neighbor'...
