Sorry, the guy to the left..his pants-I can't watch.
I think one of the missing Badgers might be in there.
The sun ain't gonna shine anymore - at least not before April.
The singer Scot walker was more of a creedal radical in music than the Governor Scot Walker. The Governor walker is actually a traditionalist, who only seems radical to the Baby Boomers long in control of their special creeds of Politically Correctness and Social Justice in Education. Governor Walker is therefore Wisconsin's Sarah Palin, Tea Party and all.
It reminds me of this story from the local paper.
I wonder if Walker Brothers Original Pancake House of Lake Zurich, IL has extended a free breakfast offer to the wayward Badger legislators?
Lots of people are wondering how many ethical and election law violations Walker committed on just that one phone call. The Madison Police Chief wants to have a word with him about his "toubling statements" regarding sending in "troublmakers" to the rallies. I bet Walker won't talk to him though. Unlike sombody else
It sucks to have the same exact name as someone that everybody hates. I know I have that problem. And it sucks.
For me loneliness is like an old pair of jeans - comfortable and reassuring, but not for public display.
Charlie Sheen.Nah just kidding.
@garbage pail"Lots of people are wondering how many ethical and election law violations Walker committed on just that one phone call."Really? Which people? The Obots? You really are a drama king. Only a leftist could make such a stupid statement about another left-wing nutjob impersonating someone else, trying to lead Walker to say or agree to certain things which could be seen as damaging.I've listened to the call and Walker pretty much brushed off all the 'projective' suggestions made by the left-wing rube.Like 'Bernie' in 'Weekend at Bernie's', garbage pail insists on propping up/dragging the dead body out.Desperate. If. That's. The. Best. You. Can. Do.
Really? Which people? The Obots? Law enforcement officals. And any thinking Wisconsite that heard what Walker said on that call.
Police chief Noble Wray of Madison, Wisconsin on Thursday asked Republican Gov. Scott Walker to explain "very unsettling and troubling" comments made in what he thought was a private phone call.Pranked by a gonzo journalist pretending to be conservative billionaire David Koch, Walker said on the 20-minute call that his administration considered planting "troublemakers" in the crowd of demonstrators opposing his budget, which curtails the collective bargaining rights of public employees."I spent a good deal of time overnight thinking about Governor Walker's response, during his news conference yesterday, to the suggestion that his administration 'thought about' planting troublemakers among those who are peacefully protesting his bill," Wray said in a statement." I would like to hear more of an explanation from Governor Walker as to what exactly was being considered, and to what degree it was discussed by his cabinet members.""I find it very unsettling and troubling that anyone would consider creating safety risks for our citizens and law enforcement officers. Our department works hard dialoging with those who are exercising their First Amendment right, those from both sides of the issue, to make sure we are doing everything we can to ensure they can demonstrate safely," he said.
@garbage"Law enforcement officals. And any thinking Wisconsite that heard what Walker said on that call."Red herring alert. What he said does not even equate to (certainly doesn't go beyond) typical union thuggery tactics.Get over it.
@JeremyROFLMAO.Bring on the thought police.Whatever the governor discussed with his aides is of no concern to the police, unless an actual crime was alleged.Much ado about nothing.
It can't be true. He didn't say that. He's a Republican!
Really, the big concern is that somebody considered something?Union supporters literally call for blood and beat up a woman and the concern is that an administration considered something?
@garbage"It can't be true. He didn't say that. He's a Republican!"Right. The projected tactics/charges reside in the liberal tool box.Google search: Alinsky.Hint: 'tool of the left'.
! Uh. Duh. Umm. Alinsky! You are so utterly lame.
@garbageI'll call your 'lame' claim and raise you this:http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/dems_hiding_in_plain_spite_bcyL61HUd3DmjU5u1KH8cMNow this is lame!
Garage bringing up a prank phone call around a hundred times in response to any post here equals:An admission that they got nothing on their side of the issue that will convince the rest of us they are right on the merits.Hell, attempting the prank itself proves that. Thanks for reminding us everyday how lame your argument is on the issue. Oh that's right, you don't have one.! Uh. Duh. Umm. Prank call! You are so utterly lame.
... thought about ...Of course, to Garage, thinking is a crime.
"You are so utterly lame."This from the person who has so far cited a prank call and a 30 minute blackout in internet access as proof that Scott Walker is an evil dictator.
I want to know how the drummers lip sync. Unless of course he's the only one actually playing, and the backing track has everything else.
Police chief and union toadie Noble Wray of Madison, Wisconsin on Thursday asked Republican Gov. Scott Walker to explain "very unsettling and troubling" comments made in what he thought was a private phone call.Fixed it for yhou
"Police chief Noble Wray of Madison,"Jeez "Noble Wray?"Is he Fay's kid?Did anybody see his birth certificate?
garage mahal said... ! Uh. Duh. Umm. Alinsky! You are so utterly lame.Sure, it's a stupid assertion. But isn't the real news here that garage has standards?
If Carl Denham was alive he would say that was racist.
Sure, it's a stupid assertion. But isn't the real news here that garage has standards?I'm sure there will have to be more stern defenses of the indefensible from Governor Fucked Up Again. So stick around! "What's wrong with _____ anyhow!"
Scott Walker will resign in disgrace within 2 weeks tops.
Police Chief Wray should get together with Sheriff Dupnik and share a beer or two. What's a police professional to do when there's dead air to fill?
Breaking News A New President
Honestly, who made the sheriff our daddy? If he has legitimate reason to believe a crime has been committed he can go through normal channels and do an investigation. But acting like the school principal and calling someone to his office because he heard something he didn't like is not his role. He's supposed to enforce the law, not censor speech. Is talking on the phone now a crime?
Kent - it's about conspiracy to commit a crime. Walker is fucked, I expect him to be frog-marched any moment now!
@Alex"Scott Walker will resign in disgrace within 2 weeks tops."Have you gone Moby?
Don't Tread,Please ignore Alex. He likes to tweak both sides of the political spectrum and as such switches back and forth between extreme left and right.
@Christopher"Don't Tread,Please ignore Alex.He likes to tweak both sides of the political spectrum and as such switches back and forth between extreme left and right."OK, Alex gets the 'chameleon' attribute on the spreadsheet.
Garage, you know if the phone call was made from out of state it is a crime under WI law. Do you approve of crime?WV: fugeliWTF=What the fugeli

Here is an email I just got from Bob Fertik, Democrats.com Where to begin? It is so insane on its face I just have to say here it is: Dear [that is how the email came, they did not even bother to slip in a "Sir"], This Saturday we're drawing a line in the sand. The entire progressive movement is putting everything we have into one massive display of progressive solidarity nationwide. We won't let Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker - or any other billionaire-bought TeaParty Governor - break the unions. Unions created America's middle class and if they disappear we'll all end up as corporate slaves. The entire progressive movement - Netroots, unions, environmentalists, and community groups - will hold solidarity rallies in major cities, including every state capital, this Saturday around noon. We'll demand an end to the attacks on workers' rights and public services across the country. We'll demand investment to create jobs. And we'll demand that the rich and powerful pay their fair share of taxes. Will you join us Saturday at noon? Sign up to join your local rally here. Here in New York City, our new Job Party has already held two solidarity rallies, proudly wearing Wisconsin Cheeseheads and winning smiles and cheers from fellow New Yorkers. Last Friday, 100 of us held a spirited rally in front of CNN, NBC, and FOX. On Tuesday we grew to 500 at FOX during Glenn Beck's show, and prominent New York unions and politicians joined us. While Glenn Beck raged helplessly inside his studio, Ed Schultz happily crossed the street to interview us. We also appeared on Jon Stewart and Bill O'Reilly. Watch our videos. And with unions, students, and progressives in the Midwest leading the way, we're turning the tide. When an Indiana official urged use of "live ammunition" against unions, he was immediately fired. Then Indiana Republicans dropped their anti-union "right-to-work" bill like a hot potato. Republican Governors in Michigan, New Jersey, and Florida are running as fast as they can from union-busting.But a few hard-line Republicans are holding out, especially Wisconsin's Scott Walker and Ohio's John Kasich. And several Republican presidential candidates are supporting them, promising to bust unions nationwide if they win in 2012.So we need to hit the streets to send a message that's loud and crystal-clear: the American people support our unions, and we want jobs!
Right. The projected tactics/charges reside in the liberal tool box.The tools are up for grabs. The radical liberal just wrote the manual.
Fred4Pres,Thanks. Now we know where Garage is copying his comments from."Unions created America's middle class"I've seen individual lefty idiots dense enough to believe this before. I've never seen an entire organization so completely ignorant they allowed it to go out in writing.
In a perfect world ~ hopefully WI voters knew who Walker was/is before they made him their governor, eh.Bottom line, America and the people of WI got what they deserved ie mid-term elections typically get a little over 40% registered voter turn out across the country, unregistered eligible voters notwithstanding ...Someone previously mentioned WI turnout was 50%. So a majority of those 50% should be happy!
Or another appropriate song for ScottThe crowds just gathered, their faces turned awayAnd they queue all day like dragons of disgustAll the women whisperingWondering just what these young hot-heads want of us
Why am I imaging the Professor as a screaming, swooning teen in love with Scott Walker and playing his LP over and over.
What a great song! It's been so long since I heard it I thought it was the Righteous Brothers. But I always loved it.
Jeremy said..."Police chief Noble Wray of Madison, Wisconsin on Thursday asked Republican Gov. Scott Walker to explain "very unsettling and troubling" comments made in what he thought was a private phone call."Yeah, right. I choose to believe a far more reliable source when it comes to accuracy in reporting on phone pranks: Garage Mahal who said, and I quote, "The Madison Police Chief wants to have a word with him about his 'toubling statements' regarding sending in 'troublmakers' to the rallies."You see? Toubling. I don't know exactly what it means but no doubt it has something to do with ice fishing or some engine part on the police chief's BMW that needs constant tinkering.I suppose Walker could've sent in Boilermakers instead of Troublmakers but I'm pretty sure the Boilermakers were not available as they were busy defeating Ohio State and crushing Indiana.
21st Century Schizoid Man
"I find it very unsettling and troubling that anyone would consider creating safety risks for our citizens and law enforcement officers.Hysterical.Now it is a law-enforcement issue!
MORE OF “THE NEW CIVILITY,”via instapunditVideo: Rhode Island union supporter to cameraman – “I’ll f**k you in the ass, you faggot.”
Police chief Noble Wray of Madison Wisconsin called Governor Scott Walker on Thursday and said," blah blah blah bu-hblahblahblah. " And Walker, rolling his eyes, said, "That's a nice little Union you've got there, Noble. Shame if anything were to happen to it." * click *
bagoh20,For me loneliness is like an old pair of jeans - comfortable and reassuring, but not for public display.I don't really know loneliness. Loss I suffer with, but not loneliness. I've got waaay too much to do, and that I want to do, to be lonely.People who get bored are boring. Is there a parallel in loneliness? I don't mean that in a negative way, about loneliness anyway, just asking.
Ever the hippie.
And I sez to him, I sez, and he goes to me he goes, and I sez to him, and he squeeked, and then I SEZ to him, and then he peeped, and I go to him, I GO, and then he timidly pipes up like a little girl, and then I SEZ TO HIM,LOOK YOU LITTLE BASTARD !And then he just stands there looking stupid. Hurry, print that!
There seems to be more reporting on Garage's prank call hero. If this is indeed the same person he apparently doesn't think much of the military. A taste of his writing:"'FUCK THE TROOPS'So, 4000 rubes are dead. Cry me the Tigris. Another 30,000 have been seriously wounded. Boo fucking hoo. They got what they asked for—and cool robotic limbs, too."It goes on quite a bit more but it essentially is just the usual Kos-like "screw 'em" attitude.
"Really, the big concern is that somebody considered something?"Yes. He had an impure thought. He needs to go to confession.
You see? Toubling. I don't know exactly what it means but no doubt it has something to do with ice fishing or some engine part on the police chief's BMW that needs constant tinkering.Roll and play dumb Meade. Good boy! Goooooood boy.
@Fred4Pres -- I'm not on that mailing list, but I do have a friend attending the rally in Rhode Island. Now if there were any way I could turn state workers into corporate slaves I would. But lead to gold requires an alchemist.
Police chief Noble Wray of Madison, Wisconsin... is a Democrat and member of a government union. He's welcome to be "very troubled" by whatever he pleases. Troubling a cop is not illegal. :)
Dems believe the ends justifies the means, so it is not surprising to see the police chief abuse his office for political purposes. Walker will certainly ignore him.It would be a good idea for Wisconsin to pass a law limiting or eliminating the power of Madison city government over Wisconsin state wide elected officials. This will prevent other abuses of power by crooked Madison Dem politicians and bureaucrats.
If this is indeed the same person he apparently doesn't think much of the military. A taste of his writing:Eh, most of the major leftie blogs write that kind of stuff. I wouldn't expect it to get much mileage.
Not that anybody is paying any attention to the original post anymore, but just wanted to note The Walker Brothers were not brothers, nor were any of them actually named Walker. It was a stage name. Great song, though, as is Make It Easy On Yourself.
All my life was a paper once plain, pure and whiteTill you moved with your pen changin' moods now and thenTill the balance was rightThen you added some music, ev'ry note was in placeAnd anybody could see all the changes in me by the look on my faceAnd you decorated my life, created a world where dreams are a partAnd you decorated my life by paintin' your love all over my heartYou decorated my lifeLike a rhyme with no reason in an unfinished songThere was no harmony life meant nothin' to me, until you cam alongAnd you brought out the colors, what a gentle surpriseNow I'm able to see all the things life can be shinin' soft in your eyesAnd you decorated my life, created a world where dreams are a partAnd you decorated my life by paintin' your love all over my heartYou decorated my life
Anorexia. It's not just for girls anymore.
Everyone is tearing into Scott Walker these days. But "who knows anything about Scott Walker?"That's nothin' - I'm here all the time - but who knows anything about The Crack Emcee?
So, I wonder when/if this "prank caller" Murphy punk is gonna face any criminal impersonation type charges any time soon? I mean, I'm all a bout "Freedom of Speech", but I also believe in consequences.I had been under the impression that impersonating someone else in email/fax/phone/etc for purposes of harassment (or other criminal acts, but harassment fits) was an actual crime under US law. If I'm wrong, I'm sure one of the many lawyers here will correct me.If not, it could also be possible that the Koch guy could sue him for defamation of character or some similar thing? Not saying he could or will, just interested in opinions.Thoughts? Comments?
Actually it was probably a criminal offense for him to tape the phone call without Walker's knowledge.
Like I know for sure though...Some lawyers around here might know.****
Thoughts? Comments?Walker's legislative nemesis, State Senator Jon Erpenbach, first got famous locally for his Do Not Call legislation.Ironic?
Actually it was probably a criminal offense for him to tape the phone call without Walker's knowledge. What I have seen is that both New York (where he probably was, being a Buffalo Gal) and Wisconsin are both One-Party Consent states. However, IIRC Wisconsin's law is different if it is a call from or to another state.Although, IANAL, and I didn't state at a Holiday Inn Express last night.I'm just wondering if this is another "The Ends Justify The Means" and no consequences type thing that is so prevalent on the Left.
It isn't in anyone's interests to prosecute Murphy, so I doubt it will happen. Democrats aren't going to prosecute him because he's one of theirs, and Republicans aren't going to prosecute him because it prolongs his 15 minutes of fame.
Rev-Yep, that about sums it up.
I'm just wondering if this is another "The Ends Justify The Means" and no consequences type thing that is so prevalent on the Left.Yep. What else is new-if it was a Republican...well you know the drill.
The governor is lonely...Return to MadisonCOME BACK TO SORRENTO (English) Sunlight dances on the sea.Tender thoughts occur to me.I have often seen your eyesIn the nighttime, when I dream. When I pass a garden fair,And the scent is in the airIn my mind a dream awakes, And my heart begins to break. But you said good-bye to me.Now all I can do is grieve. Can it be that you forgot?Darling, forget me not! Please don’t say farewellAnd leave this heart that’s broken.Come back to Sorrento,So I can mend.
Via InstaPundit:HEH: Sweet: Illinois Republican wants fugitive Wisconsin Dems to pay state income tax. “Illinois Rep. Mike Tryon, of Crystal Lake, said the Wisconsin lawmakers should be subject to the Illinois tax in the same way Green Bay Packers players must pay Illinois tax for games played at Soldier Field. . . . Tryon said he opposed a 2007 bill that extended the 5% Illinois tax to temporary workers — including professional athletes and movie stars. But if it’s on the books, the Wisconsin senators should pay, Tryon said.”
Althouse. Is "everybody ripping into" Gov. Scott Walker? No. Most of us are cheering him on and encouraging him to not go wobbly.I never would have known about Scott Walker of the Walker Brothers if it weren't for Bowie. Amazing to me that such an interesting pop musician should have remained so obscure for so many years. But a warning on Walker's experimental music; it's not for everyone. I tried to discover some beauty in there, but alas, twas not to be. Interestingly, Walker himself, cannot bring himself to ever listen to his experimental music at all after he's recorded it. I guess that's what we have come to call "art".
Wouldn't It Be GoodI got it bad,You don't know how bad I got it.You got it easy,You don't know when you got it good. It's getting harder,Just keeping life and soul together.I'm sick of fighting,Even though I know I should. The cold is biting,Through each and every nerve and fibre. My broken spirit is frozen to the core.Don't wanna be here no more.[Chorus]Wouldn't it be good to be in your shoes,Even if it was for just one day?Wouldn't it be good if we could wish ourselves away? You must be joking,You don't know a thing about it.You've got no problem,I'd stay right there if it were you.I got it harder,You couldn't dream how hard it got it.Stay out of my shoes,If you know what's good for you.The heat is stifling,Burning me up from the inside. The sweat is dripping from each and every pore.Don't wanna be here no more,Don't wanna be here no more.[Chorus]Wouldn't it be good to be in your shoes,Even if it was for just one day?Wouldn't it be good if we could wish ourselves away?Wouldn't it be good to be on your side? The grass is always greener over there.Wouldn't it be good if we could live without a care?Without a care,Without a care,Without a care,Without a care.
Thoughts? Comments? It's hard to harrass someone on the phone. Wouldn't a defense attorney just ask the simple question If you were being harassed, why didn't you hang up? Unless there's a pattern of phone calls. And there isn't.Walker would be foolish to pursue this. Really incredibly foolish.
Recently saw the documentary about him, 30 Century Man. He's an interesting guy. I don't want to listen to any of the music he's made in the last 30 years, but he's an interesting guy.
Loneliness indeed as Rachel eviscerates Scott Walker.Reagan has risen from the dead! and strangely enough, is still dead! ;)All fame is fleeting ...>Walker would be foolish to pursue this. Really incredibly foolish.Rhetorical? Hey, he's on a roll lol why stop now ...

Oddly enough, Walker's press conference tonight doesn't seem to have changed the minds of any of my liberal friends who didn't vote for him. In fact, they've decided that he keeps saying the same thing over and over in his press conferences, so they have stopped listening.I find that humorous, since they're the same ones who keep saying that the democratic process means that the winners of an election need to dialogue with the minority party and negotiate with the opposition. I'm not sure where you get dialogue and negotiation if you're so positive that you're right.
Lem;The androgyny vibe of that Placebo cover of Wouldn't it be Good creeped me out!
Lem;The New Wave is strong in this one.(I'm imaging you with big hair, like this?)
And Lem after a solid week of wall to wall Wisconsin Union protest coverage, one has the deep desire to just get away. SoI RunAnd I ran.I ran so far away.I just ran.I ran all night and day.I couldn't get away.
Loneliness indeed as Rachel eviscerates Scott Walker.Eviscerates, huh? How about another lecture on violent rhetoric?
I'm sure "eviscerate" was meant in the non-violent sense, as in "I called some friends of mine over for tea and eviscerations" or "We eviscerated the family dog lovingly."
