I demonstrate ladylikeness with a Badger hat and Green Bay Packers cheese.

You can recognize a woman of quality by her badger hat.

Oh well. Football is all about costumes. Do you have Dallas Cheerleader's outfit? Maybe we can send you one from Amazon. Then your Live Blogging of the Super bowl will break all of your records.

And you can recognize a man of quality if he's not Bob Wright.

Green pants? Apparently the cheese maker is not familiar with the Green Bay costumes.

I would make a joke about the Packers and being Cheezy but I do not want to upset my Packer fans.

But Bob Wright is the prefect douchebag. There can be no doubt.

No cheese hat? Mine's sitting by tv, waiting for Sunday.

I can't imagine an unladylike Ann Althouse, but the badger hat looks like something that comes on when the booze has been flowing freely at the Victory Party.

PS Is there something particularly ladylike about drinking hot chocolate?

I though that was tea.

Ahhhhhahahahahaha!!!!!

I only downloaded the MP3 to listen to, so I missed all the theatrics! I love it. There is definitely power in visual images. That's why the Left didn't care about Glenn Beck when he was only on radio, but put him on TV and progressive women (And Bob Wright) suffer vapors as though Mr. Darcy just proposed.

Just flipped over to February on my Packers calendars (yes, I have two in the house) and #21 Charles Woodson is featured.

@edutcher: Ladylike is crushing cans of Pabst on your forehead, sticking your tongue out, and making the 'stinger' hand gesture.

All of which Ann did on her last bloggingheads.

Such childishness...thinks Robert the pompous.

Trooper York said...

Well youse guys didn't see the costume that she really wanted to wear.

Face it. Boringheads is just no fun.

I love Packer fans. Just sayn'

traditionalguy is smitten!

As for Bob Wright, apparently the stick in his ass is distracting him from football and frivolity.

Let's be clear: Not just any old badger hat - a Bucky Badger hat.

That was actually a pretty cool Bucky hat.

Fred4Pres...Yes, she smites me daily with her mind. Unlike Palin, if La Althouse asked me to invade Egypt, I would not ask why, only do or die.

MadisonMan said...

I was also waiting for the cheesehead. Really, the Aaron Rodgers cheese piece doesn't cut it.

I find Bob Wright hilariously dry. I don't see why people think he's taking this seriously.

"I find Bob Wright hilariously dry. I don't see why people think he's taking this seriously."

Maybe it's the bulging neck veins.

Original Mike said...

"That cheese don't cut it."

I second that.

MadMan...As I heard todays reports of the worst winter storms and cold ever known lashing the upper 2/3rds of the country, I remembered you once telling me that weather IS NOT climate and I wondered were you being serious or hilariously dry two years ago? Looks like CO2 has totally failed the warming test everywhere but in secret, rigged computer models.

No offense meant Ann but just about anyone is more manly than Bob Wright. Even you....

Go Pack!!!

I love it that the Packers perhaps saved the American taxpayers millions of dollars by defeating the Bears and keeping Obama from attending the Super Bowl.

As I heard todays reports of the worst winter storms and cold ever known lashing the upper 2/3rds of the country,

Don't believe the hype. Someone is either trying to get you to click a link, or buy a paper. It is true that this storm will be very bad for Chicago -- maybe the worst in 25 years. But everywhere else? I'm not impressed. It's a bad storm, yes. They happen every year.

Trooper York said...

All this ice and snow is just hype?

Jeeez I never broke my balls shoveling hype before.

Trooper York said...

Could it be that this climate change is just a big bag of bullshit?

You know made up shit that they really don't want to pay any attention too like Al Gore's marriage vows or something?

You know a "Inconvient Truth?"

AllenS said...

By the way, where is Al Gore? Haven't heard a peep from him for quite a while.

Trooper York said...

I guess he rubbed some people the wrong way. Or he got rubbed the wrong way. Or something.

Chip Ahoy said...

That's a nice hat.

DaveW said...

That was actually a pretty cool Bucky hat.

Agreed, I like that hat. Very nice.

AllenS,

Gore put this on his Web site today:

“In fact, scientists have been warning for at least two decades that global warming could make snowstorms more severe. Snow has two simple ingredients: cold and moisture. Warmer air collects moisture like a sponge until it hits a patch of cold air. When temperatures dip below freezing, a lot of moisture creates a lot of snow.”

The meme can't die, you see...

Althouse kick that wimp Robert Wright's butt. Liberals are such crybabies.

Fred4Pres said...

Actually, Bob Wright might have an Aaron Rodger's cheese wedge in his ass.

*sigh* The Superbowl is being hosted in my home city, and I've never been to the new stadium. Guess I'll have to tour it from DC.

Gene said...

Ann had a great line about Brett Farve sending a woman photos of his penis. Why does he think a woman would be impressed by that, she asks. "He should have sent photos of his money."

Ha!

I watched all of the segment on Glen Beck (whom I don't really watch, except in very small snippets, like you).

Wright was embarrassing to himself--all blather and attitude,no argument, with a completely incoherent position.

But, much as I admire your general capacity for argument, I was disappointed that you didn't nail him more clearly.

Wright's main idea seemed to be that Beck shouldn't accuse liberals of ding bad things because one of his viewers might hurt them.

So, would Wright also condemn the Sierra Club because of Theodore Kocynski? The Vietnam antiwar movement because of Bill Ayers? Martin Luther King because of the Symbionese Liberation Army? Herbert Marcuse because of Cathy Boudin, Bernadine Dohrn, and Mark Rudd? The man is an idiot

Wright's pathetic "argument" is idiotic, but you barely got a word in and didn't really make much of a case against him.

Maybe you were tired. But he should have been nailed to the wall for hypocrisy, incoherence, smug self-righteousness, and tyranny.

@AllenS

Good point. Al Gore obviously did what the masseuse accused him of, and his wife obviously knows it, probably because of stuff he has done with her that matched what the masseuse described.

He is apparently a very disturbed guy, and we may even have heard the last of him. On the other hand, his ego and capacity for self-deception is so large that he may be able to step out in public again. But, he knows he has been caught, and he knows that others who are close to him know.

Maybe he and John Edwards can go on the road together and do a comedy show.

Althouse's points regarding Beck were valid. If there are lies, there is recourse.

If there are successes in ratings blindingly attributable to the lack of alternative programing the left could have avoided it.

Wrights sad jousting made me uneasy. It was as if he were saying "he should be fired because millions could die, but I'm not saying anything drastic on my end, it's Beck's nutty prattle that must be stopped."

How many times have pograms or genocide or...?

Sheesh, step up your game Wright, this is why everyone turned the channel from everything else to Fox in the first place. I am now going to start watching Beck.

Wright should have been wearing a Chicago Bears tie.
