For 40+ years I have said that the Democrats won't get off their Depression Era thinking until they have a Depression of their very own, and I think it likely that they now will have one.

I guess that's why I put my daughter in private school. Nothing like the basics. She is a great writer, can conjugate verbs in at least 2 languages, can balance her own checkbook without the aid of a computer (I can't even do that) and can speak in front of a crowd, with ease. She actually knows current events and can carry on a conversation with everyone from the CEO of a bank to a cab driver. Believe me the cab driver is probably her worst critic and the toughest sell. My husband was educated in public schools 40 years ago, when it was great. Too bad we can't scrap it and start over. Or, get those nuns back with the rulers. Sometimes the greatest motivators.

Yes, antibiotics always give parasites get "the creeps"

Maybe you can provide examples of why the Tea Party gives you the creeps. I'm betting you cant, because your distaste is programmed by the propaganda you've swallowed.

You've been trained to hate Goldstein, so you won't be able to explain the reasons why you hate him. You just know you are supposed to.

Presidents come and presidents go, but "the system" stays.

And the system we have now was created by Democrats from Harvard, Yale, and Princeton over the last 80 years yet - like Hoover back when - all they have to tell us is, "Hold on people, prosperity is just around the corner!"

No, the Demos always wreck the economy (CRA, subprime mortgages auto bailouts, overtax the producers of wealth...) and the military and national security. The Republicans always have to clean up the mess with sound economic policy (deregulation, lower taxes, cut spending...).

Thats why your only retort to this:

the Demos always wreck the economy (CRA, subprime mortgages auto bailouts, overtax the producers of wealth...) and the military and national security. The Republicans always have to clean up the mess with sound economic policy (deregulation, lower taxes, cut spending...).

is ad hom. But we cant fault you for following the directions on your talking points: "if its not covered here, fax in a request for a rebuttal and launch personal attacks until it arrives.

Two unrelated issues.

First as an Arizonan, I have to ask, what is the political sense in this.

The Justice Department's civil rights division sued the Maricopa County Community Colleges in Arizona, seeking damages from schools for having "intentionally committed document abuse discrimination."...
On one hand, employers have been told they need to do more to verify that their workers are legal and authorized to work in the United States. Federal immigration law says hiring "an unauthorized alien" can result in fines of up to $3,000 per worker. However, another provision of the same law bars employers from requesting "more or different documents" than are needed to prove a noncitizen's legal status.

Second as a physician. Perversely this is good.

The share of the premium paid by workers jumped 3 percentage points to 30 percent. In the dozen years the survey has been conducted, the employee share of family coverage has never topped 28 percent and has never risen more than 2 percentage points in a single year.

In past years, employers typically have shared the increase in health costs with workers. This year, employers' contribution to the premium remained flat on average, the survey said.

The more we can get the consumer involved in cost considerations, the more when can push the price of healthcare DOWN

One of you needs to pick a partner with a brain who can actually do something with the real world.

By the way, numbnuts (plural), if the tax "cuts" to the wealthy were such a red hot idea how come the budget blew up under Bush and we had the horrible recession? Just a quesion...you know...grounded in reality and the world as it really is and not one requiring tin foil hats and moonbeams.

You guys are soooo easy.

"the Demos always wreck the economy (CRA, subprime mortgages auto bailouts, overtax the producers of wealth...) and the military and national security. The Republicans always have to clean up the mess with sound economic policy (deregulation, lower taxes, cut spending...)."

Is there a specific line you're having trouble with, Libtard? Or would you rather we distill it down to a bumper sticker slogan that won't tax your little libtard brain?

The budget blew up under The Zero, who spent as much in one year as Dubya did in 8. The recession is the work of Willie's subprime mortgages and Countrywide Dodd and Slobbering Barney's corruption. Dubya tried multiple times to put an end to it, but your boy, The Zero, was point man in torpedoing those efforts.

HD's questions are grounded in the same reality that says Albert Gore, the Living Redwood, invented the Internet.

History is easy, but you have to read it.

PS The rich are the ones who produce the wealth and the jobs. Overtaxing them, the way George Mitchell did in '91, has always turned out badly. That's what has made "Recovery Summer" this decade's Pet Rock.

Robert W.,

The problem that I have with the American Thinker's list is that most of them are from MSNBC.

Is there anyone out there who doubts that MSNBC is Left wing?

If you want to know whether the mainstream news media is biased, consider the following:

Attacks against military recruiting stations have become an epidemic over the last five years. These attacks range from petty vandalism to arson and bombings. They are committed by Left-wing anti-war radicals.

The mainstream news media has completely ignored this. It's not even on the radar. Someone receiving their information primarily through the mainstream media wouldn't even know about these attacks.

Do you have any doubt that things would be different if Right-wing had been attacking, say, Acorn offices in the same way?

(Note: I'm not talking about the murder of Pvt. William Long in Arkansas at the hands of a radical Islamist terrorist, which did get national coverage. I'm talking about the steady drumbeat of attacks on recruiting stations by people who self-identify as Left-wing activists, which hasn't.)

but you haven't answered the question...tax cuts were given to the ultra rich and nothing happened as a result...so why do you want to continue the practice? i don't follow your reasoning (that's a joke...i'm being ironic)..so enlighten us all by answering a question you guys keep ducking...if tax cuts for the rich are such a splendid idea how come a recession happened?

surely you can take your tin foil beenies off for a bit and think real hard for some moronic answer.....i mean...we know you are fine with moronic answers...

Yah, that whole "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights" and "one nation under God" thing... creepy stuff.

But the Blues Brothers, yes, very hip...

If ever there was an argument as to why America no longer deserves to exist, Victoria has made it here today.

The irony is that she probably worships Gaia or The State or Our Dear Leader instead.

Or Herself. That seems to be a common pattern on the Left these days. Hell, they even elected a Narcissist as their Dear Leader.

No, I actually believe in the constitution and the bill of rights and the other amendments. I think the Tea partiers cloak themselves in the constitution but they don't believe in it. They use God as a hammer and a convenient shield. They want to deny the right to choose to women, with or without government support. I don't like Obama much but I would much rather have him in office than McCain (Who sold his soul to get elected) and Palin (who has no soul).

I haven't followed the news on Palin since McCain lost the election for her and she got hounded out of office. Is it the common judgment of mankind that the 2008 election did her a disservice, and sucked her into a fame trap she had been eluding due to the remoteness of Wasilla and Alaska, and that that distance has proven unbridgeable in any case? Oh, that's right. I don't care.

You worship yourself.

They want to deny the right to choose to women

And you want sex so bad, you're willing to kill for it. You're a Monster.

I hadn't noticed that belief in God's will was a prerequisite for fanaticism and destructive self-righteousness. If anything, I'd say the god-botherers have been falling behind of late in the holier-than-thou leagues. Shame, really, their ceding the laurels to a bunch of panty-waist liberals.
