Oops! Julius deleted his comment!

Well I will not delete mine on his.

His was .. mmm... different.

Ah, Julius. You can't start the ball rolling with something rich like that and then get all bashful.

Sorry, yes I deleted it, too personal.

Weird and true, but personal.

The Blonde got the biopsy results. The cells are 'suspicious', whatever that means.

Not benign, not malignant. The doctor wants to see her in November. Meanwhile, we're still in Limbo.

PS My thanks to Ann, JAL, C Black, and my buddy, Irene, for their concern. Keep those paws crossed.

Ann Althouse said...

@edutcher I'm glad it's not the truly bad news. There's a long time between now and November and every day is a beautiful gift. I would advise you to leave November for November and live as if the bad possibilities were nothing.

Irene said...

edutcher, thank you. Paws still crossed here. The wait between visits can be endless. Although the anxiety of uncertainty makes every day seem endless, we can find endless joy by living in the moment.

1. Those in the tea parties orbit - or those just as dumb as they are - recently unwittingly* helped crooked employers deprive U.S. citizens of jobs. (*To the extent that "wit" applies to anything they do.) Trying to explain that to a couple people online made me feel like a SpecialEd teacher (no offense to SpecialEd students).

2. Not content to just do the above, earlier today, the tea partiers helped Obama yet again.

3. All is not dire in TeapartyLand! In fact, a teaparty icon has his own brand-new cable TV show.

bagoh20 said...

edutcher,

Yes, take Ann's advice. I've been there many times and all I regret is the time I wasted worrying. Forget about it until you have something to do about it. Just hang on to the gift of appreciation such a close call gives. It is good news.

JAL said...

edutcher -- give our best to The Blonde. We are in the balcony rooting for her, and you and all yours, with our paws intermittently crossed and uplifted.

bagoh20 said...

If the Tea Partiers have "helped Obama once again", they sure are doing a bad job of it. He's doing so well thanks to them. But, thanks Special Ed. teacher

Looks like Cave of the Mounds Great place to escape the heat. Such as it is. I love the "heat".

I think it should be clear from the link posted in my comment that the 'partiers did help Obama: they acted like kids when if they'd acted like smart, sane grown-ups they might have been able to show how they think he's wrong.

And, that brings me to: Arguing with Tea Partiers, Part 1: Teaparty's "Jump, Smear, and Lie" technique.

Heard that Tina Brown was pretty upset that GOP are getting two minorities, esp. women, ahead. How can GOP be advanced? I for one believe Obama/Biden. But, I would not be sad when there is success. Forget you, Tina. In US, Tina, we want all to succeed. Get it?

Anyone remember the Dixie Dregs>? I do. Somehow these guys [and Steve Morse] always never get mentioned in the most kick-ass most influential bands ever, and it's criminal.

And here with Jerry Goodman on violin. I love youtube.com

I bought a big green egg seen on Craigslist. It's a kiln-like bbq/smoker. The owner lives in Black Forest (Colorado Springs) so I drove down there. Up there? Whatever, it's mountainous.

Wanna hear something stew-pud? Okay, goes like this: I saw one on Craigslist a few months ago. Listed on Friday, it was sold on Saturday. So I didn't even have time to get cash from the bank. That told me I must have cash ready and act fast.

I haven't seen any listed since then, until last week. But I have seen people list to buy. This told me there are more buyers than there are sellers. Presently there are four listers seeking to buy.

Suddenly two appeared for sale. I expected them to go as quickly as the first one did but they stayed listed for a few days. Finally I popped for one. I asked the seller if he had been contacted by any of the buyers on Craigslist and he said, "no." I asked if he contacted any of them and he said, "no" to that too. It confounds me why the buyers stated their desire to buy then sat back and waited for a seller to contact them instead of checking continuously until one showed, or in this case, until two showed simultaneously. The only explanation I have is laziness pure and simple. And that's stupid.

I just now saw the rudest commercial ever. It's for a woman's personal electric shaver.

It shows a beautiful woman walking across the screen. She passes a waist-high topiary in an unusual triangle shape which remains after the woman passes by it. The overt suggestion is a trimmed bush in the shape of a triangle. Plus, it's green!

Saw the same thing and thought the same thing. So Brazilians are out?

I just want to give a big fuck you to SouthWest airlines and to BART. You both fucking suck. I hate you both. I really do. Morons and idiots are employed by these two organizations. Oh, and another great big fuck you to SFO. You fucking pussies close off one runway because of a little fog? Seriously? Thanks for wrecking the entire schedules of everyone traveling that day. Assholes.

Edutcher,

"Every day is a beautiful gift."

It's a gift, I tell ya, it's a motherfucking gift.

Don't be a sap and start living like there's no tomorrow. But don't worry about nothing, either:

The news is inconclusive, and there's nothing new about that.

Thanks, guys. She's trying not to show it, but it still concerns her. We've got some plans for the summer and I want to concentrate on those.

Nice to know you have friends.

PS Speaking of people in trouble, I hope kentuckyliz is OK.

Good luck to you, edutcher.

Best to you and your wife, edutcher.

I've been worried about KentuckyLiz, too. Does anyone know anything? I assume if Althouse had heard anything, she would have done a post.

edutcher, I didn't know anything was going on with The Blonde, but I hope all is well, and echo the comment above. I have spent far too much time in my life worrying -- I come from a long line of worriers. Change what you can and roll with the punches life gives you.

And especially, enjoy the beautiful Summer!

I hope the best for 'the Blonde'; I have always enjoyed her being mentioned.

Uncertainty is always fearsome. Second opinions might allay that fear, if not already done.

She hasn't commented since early May.

This is an issue with the comments community. Some people get mad and leave and say they are leaving, but others just disappear (like Bissage). It make people who are still hear wonder if they are okay.

I know, Professor, but Kentucky Liz was battling cancer, so we actually have a reason to be worried about her. (Plus she didn't seem like the pick up my toys and go home sort, IMO)

Freeman Hunt said...

edutcher, hoping all the best for you and The Blonde. Unknown is good though. Think of everything that is unknown. All of us could have hidden cancers; whether or not we do is unknown. But none of us, well most of us anyway, sit around worrying that perhaps we do. I know, easier said than done. But worth trying!
