The last refuge of the painter who can't paint is to smoosh a whole bunch of colors on canvas anywhichaway and call it "Reflections in Water." That's what Monet did at the end when he couldn't be bothered with the heavy lifting of making something recognizable. Monet could paint but when you're 80 and a national monument to boot why bother. Really, who's to say you put the green or the red in the wrong place or made it the wrong shape if it's upsidedown waterworld?
Fish in a Lake is therapeutic. I am staying for three weeks at Lake Oconee among many nice people. (The Rothlisberger house is not yet on the market here). Many Europeans have a place here. The area was developed by the Reynolds family, who have had major Bush Family Republican insider connections for some time. But it is still small enough for the community to judge men by character and not just wealth. Being nice to people is not that hard to do.
Koi in pond . . . Poodle in pond. A smashing poodle returns to his roots as a water retriever."Pudeln."(That's not my dog.)
Glad things look so good up there. Beautiful picture. Lousy weekend here, and I don't mean weather. The Blonde went to a cancer screening and may have basal cell melanoma. She needs a biopsy and she's pretty scared. Add to that, Quantum and Quasar (mother and daughter) have been having dominance issues (we've been keeping them apart) and The Blonde mistakenly let them out together. They had an awful fight with both chewed up pretty nastily. Some damage, blood everywhere, but it looks like they'll be OK. The pet book said, let them fight it out. So much for that. We're going to try muzzles. If that fails, somebody has to go, sad to sayThe only good thing is that Hudson got very sick a couple of days ago and we thought she might have Parvo. False alarm, but, having already buried 2 pups, I'm not looking forward to doing it ever again. As The Blonde asked, why does everything drop on you at once? I've had similar days, I just thought I was through with them.Silly me.
@edutcher: I am so sorry to hear about The Blonde. We will keep our paws crossed for her at this end.(As for the Yorkies, hang in there as well. Sometimes it straightens out after a few weeks.)
@ed Sorry to hear that. Take care.

This could be benign, but she spent a few years in oncology, so she knows the worst and it's got her scared - understandably.Irene, I'll keep what you say about the pups in mind. Thanks.
Is this a celebration of this?
