Live by the sword, die by the sword.
"considered the company like a second family."Big mistake. The fashion industry is populated by sharks. Then there is the part where she considers herself a role model. No dear, you are a fashion model. Trey
I'd say they've got to be kidding, but I know better. A normal woman is "plus size" while 5' 10" and 120 pounds is "too fat". What they really want is a skinny guy in drag.
Disturbing.Forgive me, but who exactly buys Ralph Lauren these days? At least for men, the Polo insignia is fading away, replaced more by LeCoste, store brands (I'm seeing a lot of Nordstrom) and plain old Lands End.
5'-10", 120lbs... fat?? So much so that they digitally manipulate the image to shrink her body but leave her head the same??Look, I think slender's hot, but for Pete's sake, they've gone way to far beyond that point. That pic doesn't make her look thin, it makes her look scary. There's thin and there's anorexia-level, garishly skeletal. It's like fashion editors want the latter. Too far. That's just too far.
I have always avoided dating skeletons.Zombies, too.
Good for her. Now she's not the woman who was in "that horrible ad", she's the woman who was treated horribly by Ralph Lauren.
She looked like a beautiful woman and not a pre-teen boy. So, she did not appeal to the gay editors of fashion magazines.
In the late 60's, I dated a good looking, really skinny woman. I was always afraid of chipping a tooth.
I'm not in the biz, so I don't know which way this goes, but it seems to me that this wasn't an accident. EIther RL was making a statement that the hullaballoo in Europe about models being to thin is good, or that it is bad. Someone was trying to make a point.
She looks great to me, but fashion photos are not reality. They might as well hire animators and get rid of the models altogether. Oh by the way, French Vogue shows it knows how to strike a pose! No NFL team ownership for Anna Wintour!
Filippa Hamilton - whose hips appeared slimmer than her head in the recent altered ad...Kinda predictable actually, with the way that dolls are distorting children's body image nowadays.WV=panties. Okay, that's just creepy. Did I leave my web-cam on or something?
That ad is really disgusting. It appears to have been done by someone who has an anorexia fetish. Shame since the model looks fabulous on the candid photograph.
Great link Ignorance is Bliss!Given gender equality issues, it was only a matter of time before women demanded a big head, not only for their lovers, but for themselves.
