Saw a fox running across Slauson last night. And by a fox, I mean the woodland creature kind, I'm not using the term euphemistically, or even dysphemistically. It darted into the cemetery, I suppose it might have been a dog, as all I saw was its silhouette, but the tail was very fox-like, and something about its motion seemed strongly not dog-like to me.So, list of wild creatures seen in non-wild places around SoCal by me so far, fox, deer, possum, bear, coyote, and racoons. Haven't ever spotted a mountain lion, or any escaped exotic pets so far.
I had a college roommate who liked to pronounce the word fecund as FAH-SOOOOND--with lots of breath. She'd say it three times in a row like a mantra whenever something struck her as particularly earthy or delightful, "Fah-soooond, Fah-soooond, Fah-soooond!"So it was that fecund came to mind when looking at all those potential thistles waiting for one big fah-soooond to send them on their way.I started my morning singing along with Blake's link, then encountered "Primiti Too Taa" Fah-soooond all over again!!
