Sculpting the toilet paper roll.

Craggy old faces emerge from crushing and bending the cardboard. Add some paint....

Strangely, all the faces look like George H.W. Bush. To me, anyway.

Via Metafilter, where I'm finding a lot of cool things this morning.

The artist is Junior Jacquet.

Deeply envious of Junior Jacquet’s extraordinary talent, I am only now beginning to appreciate the sad fact that nearly all of the time I have spent on the crapper has been wasted.

Hey, I think I spotted a Patrick Stewart in there, but that might have been wishful thinking.

Ha!

Do not let our Titus see this posting. It will give him nightmares.

I saw a few Joe Bidens and Andy Rooneys in there too.

Fantastic, people who can take anything and create art.

Brian Dettmer carves into books revealing the artwork inside, creating complex layered three-dimensional sculptures

I watch Rare Visions & Roadside Revelations shown on PBS. Series goes all over the US to out of the way places showing people who create fascinating art from all kinds of odds and ends. Some not so good but some damn good.

It's the energy and passion that people bring to their visions that is compelling.

Oh hardy har har Anne! I will have to share this with the girls at church and maybe we can even go one better and name our own turds after Shrubbie Bush too! We will never forget!

But he didn't ejaculate on them, so they aren't true art.
