What is that black ...thing... in the clouds, center of the picture? Or is it not a thing at all but a hole in the clouds?

No hole in the clouds, Blake. You gotta get a better monitor. It's not a bat either, not even an 'E' cup bra blown on the wind. It's perfectly clear to me...

It's a UFO!!

Are they in Madison at last?? Has Althouse had an "interrupted journey?"

You know amba and Jacques were with Whitley and Anne Streiber when Whitley was famously visited by aliens. Can you believe it? Amba was asleep and had trouble waking up at 4:00AM to say "hi" to the little guys, so all she remembers were some noise and lights.

I've had nights like that.   I just mumble "Klaatu barada nikto," and go back to sleep.  But I am seriouslly impressed amba had that experience.  I read her blog for a couple of years before I knew it. Amazing.

Anyway, will Althouse be appearing on "Dreamland" soon to talk about how she got that shot of the Great Madison UFO of 2008?

I know!!! We've sighted Johnny Nucleo's spaceship, The Babemagnet!

He was off to another adventure with Trixie Electra and he buzzed Madison for old time's sake.

Why, oh why can't he buzz this blog again?

What's this about insanity? I don't know about Whitley Streiber, but dear amba is one of the most sane people imaginable. She didn't see the aliens herself. Just heard something in the night.

Growing up in and near the desert in Southern California, I used to see all sorts of strange things zipping around the sky. I thought they might be UFO's until I became acquainted with some of the formerly black budget toys Your Federal Government was playing with out there.

Every one can be explained as a waste of taxpayers' money.

That's what I say as an adult, but as a 14-year-old, I thought flying saucers were cool, whether the USAF or little grey guys from Planet Deneb were flying them around.
Sadly, it was mostly the USAF.

Can we be perfectly sure that’s not the daytime BatBeacon®?

Look! Here comes Batman, now!

This comment by RAA is too excellent for words and it gives me an excuse to put the dearly departed Johnny Nucleo and Trooper York together in a single pointless boast. There was a brief time back there when Trooper York would taunt me with the accusation that I was the same guy who did Johnny Nucleo. I WISH!
