"I love her because she's a helluva fighter. She's tenacious and I like that. She cares for everybody, for people like me."

There's a lot of Hillary love out there.

I like her for her cattle futures.

It shows that she thinks first of the little people.

Oh. Until I followed the link I just assumed the quote was from Andrew Sullivan.

Hillary cares for all women, except for Bill's legitimate prey, such as Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broddrick. After all, the big guy's entitled to a little recreation.

Re: "Iron my shirt": It's amazing how much mileage Hillary's campaign got out of one rinky-dink radio station's stunt.

In terms of offensive T-shirts, I think Obama's winning the Outrage Olympics: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/object/article?f=/n/a/2008/05/14/politics/p122224D39.DTL&o=0

Responding to objections that HillaryCare could bankrupt many small businesses, Hillary said "I can't be responsible for every undercapitalized small business in America."

This must be a new meaning of "cares for everybody" that I'm not familiar with.

pst314, that quote is from 1993, and relates to a healthcare plan that she's not presently offering. One assumes she's now grasped the flaws in the earlier plan, otherwise that would be her healthcare plan rather than what she is proposing, which is still monumentally misguided (from a conservative perspective, at any rate), but because of the concept, not the fine detail. In the detail, it at least corrects some of the most-criticized aspects of HillaryCare.

That could result in significant unemployment. As of 2004:

Small employers with less than 50 employees accounted for 95 percent of all establishments and 41 percent of total employment.

Rack that stupidity up along with her idiotic energy solutions.

BTW how does she feel about undercapitalized campaigns?

Let us hope so.

I agree with the fighter point, but the suggestion that she cares for everyone, or really anyone besides herself and her own is wishful thinking.

No.....Hillary cares about power. She thinks she knows how to "take care" of other people--whether they agree with her or not she wants to meddle with the lives of everyone for the "betterment" of the little person. God help us if she is ever in a real position of power--her healthcare debacle should have been enough of a lesson for those who think Hillary cares. You have to more than care--you have to know how to implement policy effectively. Hillary is running a bankrupt campaign. You think she could run the country any better?

Did you guys click on the slideshow on that link?

This photo of Obama there reminded me of this other one I saw, recently.

Photographers adore capturing him in Kennedyesque silhouettes.

They couldn't with President Clinton because the guy was a walrus, no matter how much he stooped down, with folded arms.

But they can with Obama.

They want Obama for the millions they will rake in personally, selling their photos.

The voters may want Hillary. But the photographers are sending celluloid love notes to Obama.

Cheers,
Victoria

I know right!? I heard he's a cat killer too, according to Willey. Something to keep in your back pocket when you want to pr0n another Clinton thread, no matter how unrelated it may seem.

Hillary cares for only two people on this earth, Chelsey and Herself.

In fairness, George, I'd believe Clinton was a pussy killer.

I'm not a Hillary fan. Never have been. Never will be. Never will vote for her. However, I've come to respect her tenacity and her willingness to get down in the trenches and fight.

She's had her sense of entitlement ripped away, and, ironically, it seems to have made her a conservative. Obama, she says, hasn't won the nomination. What's left unsaid is 'why should I give it to him if he hasn't earned it?'

I agree with Hillary's implied comment. Affirmative action is ruinous to this country. The last thing we need is a president who got to the Oval Office simply cuz he's black. Obama, true to his communist background, wants exactly that. He wants the Oval Office without doing the hard work to earn it. That's why he says don't talk about me, my pastor, my wife, my friends, my religion, my anything.

Barack Obama, the affirmative action candidate for the POTUS. Hillary Clinton, the political conservative E.F. Hutton wannabe: if the Obama takes the WH, he will have to do it the old fashioned way, earn it!

The irony is delicious!

Garage: From the title of Ann's post: She cares for everybody, for people like me. Hillary does not care for everybody, sorry.

Hillary Clinton, the political conservative E.F. Hutton wannabe:

E.F. Hutton? The apt analogies to Hillary's campaign are Lurleen Wallace and Evita Peron. Or did E.F. Hutton get the nod because her husband was term-limited out?

That's quite an assumption.

"She cares for everybody, for people like me."

Nah. She cares for power, and lusts after everyone's money.

She cares enough about Bill to live in a different house, in a different state. She cares enough about Chelsea to use her as a campaign mascot, but not enough to let her speak to the press.

"She has totally found her voice," said a longtime adviser, "but what is so frustrating for her is that there isn't enough runway to get anything done."

Like totally. Short runway, bummer, and like so not fair. I mean, you know?

Heaven in a hammock, can the next queen of America not find better longtime advisors that that?

And the incessant whining about sexism - if she can't stand up to Olberman and Matthews, for crying out loud, how can she expect the voters will believe she can stand up to Kim Jong-Il? Or Mahmood Imadinnerjacket? Or Czar Putin I?

Would yo vote for McCain if he (or his surrogates) constantly complained in the same manner as Hillary and her surrogates?
