What Lola wants...

... is to be a star.

(And that first commenter over there is mean... and also uninformed about the significance of Frida Kahlo in the mind of Madonna.)

So Madonna, who has a "thing" about Kahlo, encourages her daughter to walk around with those hellacious eyebrows, not to mention moustache? Poor kid.

Exactly!

I thought Sanjaya's five minutes were up?

Well, damn. My perception that Madonna wasn't imposing beauty standards on her too young daughter, raised her up a notch. But, the idea that she's imposing odd beauty standards based on her own love for Kahlo...well I can't decide what I think about that just yet.

The question is, does Lola have a thing for Kahlo, and is it her own?

It'd be ironic if Madonna tries to direct her daughter's rebellion, against conventionality or otherwise.

If Madonna loves Kahlo so much, she should let her own eyebrows and mustache grow in. You know that's where Lourdes got hers, she's the image of her pre-peroxided mom.

She is a beautiful girl, freaky eyebrows notwithstanding. It's hard not to wonder just how screwed up she is, though, since her mother is famous for re-inventing herself every few years. That habit can't help but cast doubts on the value of having the courage to form and be true to your own identity.

Wax on ... Hair off.

Let's get going, ladies.

Is it love of Kahlo or is it that bleaching and waxing a child's face is totally absurd? She's a beautiful little girl.
