I don't listen to Howard Stern anymore. Perhaps I've outgrown him. Regardless, I wish you all a happy birthday!

I'm so reminded of the Imus show with the "Cardinal":

Which doesn't belong and why??

And who are they?

Like, have they ever been the answer in a major New York periodical crossword puzzle?
I think not.

Ah well... happy birthday to them too.

Stern is overpaid;
Limbaugh is overheated;
Althouse is underpaid!

Happy birthday to each!

Happy Birthsday, Prof. Althouse! And Mr. Limbaugh as well. (If I don't like Howard Stern, and if he isn't here, do I have to wish him one?)

I'm an August 7 baby. Charlize Theron and I are exact contemporaries...which is kinda freaky, because she looks twice as old as I do.

In compensation, she's richer taller.

What do Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Althouse, and 6 year old William Wigderson have in common? Happy Birthday Ann, and if you're in Waukesha tomorrow we're having a birthday party at McDonald's. Orange drink and a happy meal. Yum, yum.

Not in Chief Justice Roberts's opinion! hehe.

Happy birthday Ann, and thanks for all of the enjoyment I have derived from your efforts over the past several years.

As for Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh...well...not so much, on either score.

Wait! What happened to my Happy Birthday reply to a snarky comment by "Opiate"??

In it, I complained about his lack of wishing you a happy birthday, and I of course, sent you b-day greetings.

Since it's disappeared:

Happy Birthday, Ann! Many happy returns on the day.

Cheers,
Victoria

Have a good birthday, Ann!

Why don't you call Limbaugh and do a little McCartney for him? "You say it's your birthday/It's my birthday, too, yeah!"

Happy Birthday Rush.
Howard who?

Happy Birthday Ann. You and I are one day apart (I'm tomorrow).

Forget about Stern and Limbaugh. I wish I shared my birthday with the great Bill Nighy, a favorite around my household for his portrayal of a burnt-out rocker in "Still Crazy."

Also Marco Boogers! Yeah!

That list was so last year.

Here's a different trio for '07: Mississippi Fred McDowell, Tex Ritter and Rob Zombie. All born on Jan. 12 -- makes you think, huh? (Or not.)

Happy Birthday, Prof. Althouse.

My mom grew up in Cape Girardeau, MO (Rush's home town), and went to school with Rush's dad, who was quite the lady's man. Rush's family were mainly Southern Democrats. I think Rush was revolutionary in the beginning, but has fallen in the trap of enjoying the sound of his own voice, and those who blindly praise him.

Happy Birthday!

Mine is the 31st! Ernie Banks, Jackie Robinson and Nolan Ryan share this day with me as well... I should brew up a good post for that day...

Actually, he can't hear anything. But I see your point.

It's hard to believe, but among talk-radio hosts, at least the ones you can hear in LA, Limbaugh comes off like an erudite thinker compared with most of the others.
