Are you buying the Borat broke up Pam's marriage story?

I'm not. Too PR-y.

Well, if old Kid Rock really does have a major insecurity problem, the Tommy Lee sex tape could have pushed him over the edge. It's pretty darned explicit and Tommy Lee's... well...

That's right Pam, tweak the dragon's nose and show the sex tape of you and Tommy Lee to your current squeeze who has anger management/insecurity problems.

Hey Kid, "It's Good To Be On Top!"

Will these people ever get a life? A job?

This is coarse Hollywood P.R. aimed at a supposed quietly desperate public longing for a shallow and vapid life of narcissim.

I'll buy the premise. From the article:

“Bob [Kid Rock] started screaming at Pam, saying she had humiliated herself and telling her, ‘You’re nothing but a whore! You’re a slut! How could you do that movie?’ - in front of everyone,” the member of Team Anderson recalled. “It was very embarrassing.”

Calling your future wife, "a whore, a slut", after watching her in the movie, has a tendency to cancel a relationship. Team Anderson, what's up with that?

I think they just broke up in some boring little way and this story was concocted to promote the Borat movie.

Yes, that is most likely true, but isn't it sad that all aspects of the story are entirely plausible?

Would any of us be really surprised to find out it was true?

Kid Rock:

The name is pretentious

Has he ever done any music I have heard

Yeah gee he's just figuring her out

Count me as not buying it

He did not know who/what he was marrying before he saw the movie? Gimme a break.

Gross.

And I don't much like the "what" part, but Joe's stated the obvious (and correct) point to be made regarding Kid Rock.

Althouse: Yep!

We saw the movie over Thanksgiving and wondered if she was in on the joke. "Agreement not necessary!" LOL. All in all, pretty funny.

The breakup story? Another interesting, tongue-in-cheek episode in this po-mo "documentary" saga, like the lawsuits by the good citizens of Glod, etc., 'victims' all.

So a guy who embrces the whole Pimp-Pornstar-Rappa Ho lifestyle might be pissed at someone in the field?

Count me skeptical. The more likely converstaion would be "You’re nothing but a whore! You’re a slut! Yeaaah, baby!"

In a word, no. Definite PR for Borat.

Supposedly, the real story is that he's tired of babysitting while she parties. Her own reports in an interview this month of partying all night and ending up naked at David LaChapelle's studio taking "crazy pictures" probably didn't help.

I don't believe that Pamela Anderson's appearance in the "Borat" movie brought an end to her marriage to Kid Rock.

But I do believe it shaved a good 48-72 hours off it.

These people had four weddings; it's no suprise they'd have to stage a big whoop of a breakup rather than a quiet, amicable parting.

Is there the remotest possiblity this means we hear from neither for a real long time? No? Damn.

Personally, I've had kind of a soft spot for Pam Anderson ever since I saw an interview with her in which, in response to some question about whether she was considering "serious" acting work, she responded that she couldn't act, relied entirely on her looks, and only chose roles where that would work for her.

I liked that refreshing burst of honesty. Kind of like when Will Smith stated that he wanted to focus on making big-budget special effects movies because those make the most money.
