Hello, Sausalito.

Home of the 6 millionth visitor to this blog. You arrived on the Electoral College post from an unknown URL. Whoever you are, thanks for clicking the first digit over to 6. Onward to 7.

Ah, Sausalito. When I hear abous Sausalito, it always makes me remember the E! True Hollywood Story about the making of the Fleetwood Mac album Rumors. The drugs, the heartache, the rock and roll glamour... or rather the 1970s California soft-rock glamour.

So, are we supposed to switch to Blogger Beta? What's that about anyway? I don't want to find out myself; I want to read it blogged first.

Congrats Ann- I will miss it when you get tired of the daily grind of blogging . Though I hope it never happens.

Congrats, though I can't figure out exactly what is going on there. I have tried to find myself several times in your statistics, and don't appear to be here, though I do think I am.

I do have a question though - do the statistics include the comment pages? Esp. when you have opened up to comment yourself?

I don't see any indication of Sitemeter here, and I am not sure if you have control of the page once you have opened up for making a comment. Rather, this seems to be totally Blogger driven.

If that is the case, then your statistics may be even lower than I thought, as there are times when I, and some other fanatics stay in the comments for hours at a time.

No award like a chocolate cake or some signed sketches for Sausalito?? It seems the mammary gang out to get you hasn't crimped the ol' site meter any........

Sausalito, memories of an adventure that started there on May night in 1983, included a Van Morrison concert in a downtown SF nightclub and ended in Las Vegas. At least *I* didn't get married.

Bruce: There's a sitemeter you can click on in the sidebar. 6 million is visits, not page views. Site Meter doesn't count a new visit unless some amount of time has passed -- maybe a half hour. Page views went over 10 million recently, but I've never posted about page view milestones. It took somewhat over a year to get to 1 million, then I got to 2 million before a year and a half. 4 million was back in March and 5 was in late June.

Way to go.

I never did figure out if this place was a salon, or a saloon.

Way to go - Over 6,000,000 Served!

Mickey D's watch out; Annie's gunning for you.

Oddly, SteveR, I _did_ get mkarried there --- my wife likes the place.

Splendid!

So....what would you like for this milestone? Are you registered anywhere? We should have a party when you hit 6,666,666. Maybe it'll happen on Halloween. Ooohh...spooky.

Sippican:
What's the difference between a saloon and elephant flatulence?

One is a bar room. The other is a bar-ROOOOM!!

Sanjay, she wasn't the right one, otherwise a great place to be married

Ann, Chuck B. and all -

I switched over to Blogger Beta and overall, I like it minus some of the hand-coded HTML I can't do anymore (but hopefully will soon).

Has anyone else switched over and have you had any issues? Just curious.

Congrats Ann on 6 million.
