I forgot to tell you I was going to be on TV.

Just locally here in Madison — on the 5 p.m. news on the NBC station. Did anybody see that? Just a little chatting about Rehnquist/Roberts.

I saw it. Looked good.

Seems those table discussions on NBC15 are typically not very interesting, so it was a refreshing change.

Me thinks that the nominee for SDO's seat is doing to be Larry D. Thompson (former Deputy AG). This will help Bush redeem himself for slow Katrina effort, and have a second African-American. There will be undoubtedly calls that the nominee should have been a minority and a woman. Bush is a no-win situation. If he nominates Clement from New Orleans, then he is openly saying that he messed up Katrina. And, Clement is not an ethnic minority. I guess this means that in GOP there is an absence of legal scholars who are both women and minorities. I am sure they are there. They just are not known to simpletons like myself or arm-chair experts in the Media.

PS: I am assuming that Janice Brown is too controversial. Thus, Larry D. Thompson might work, and Bush likes him. Bush liked Roberts.

Ray Nagin might work. Media scrutiny would be non-existant.
